GTR has no chance. not sure why nissan/nismo didnt go into the GT2 class

Really did you see the times posted around the Paul Richard circuit in testing?? I know its only testing but it does look like the GTR will at least be competitive ;)

1. 2010 GT1 Nismo / Gigawave Nissan R35 GT-R - 2:05.447

2. 2010 GT1 Matech Ford GT - 2.05.948

3. 2010 GT1 VDS Ford GT - 2.07.401

Don't read too much into the pre-season testing times for these cars.

I have a mate that works for the Jet Alliance GT1 team (Aston DB9R's) and I remember him telling me that the governing body uses the testing times to try and even out the field by giving extra ballast etc to the fast teams. So as a consequence they used to do all of their pre-season testing on 5 year old slicks that were half useless to make themselves look slow.

Actually I just remembered they did it by determining the size of the restrictors they all had to run.

Alright - I'm off to Spa to watch this one  Although I'm going with Brisby so I'll have listen to his Corvette rubbish all weekend I'm sure.

Best bit is for the 2 days after the race we'll actually get to play on the track :D

yeah not surprised - they are a whole other level up from the cars around.

and speaking of levels, the r35 is running it gt2 not outright, right? It is much more road car than the top level cars

The GTR & Ford GT were running to 2010 GT1 rules, getting a head start on the competition.

Have been working with the Ford GT GT1 cars for next year, all new Aero package.

Sponsorship all set, should be a good year for the ford's running some great drivers

Nissan has some updates over last years but is pretty similar in styling.

I love the toys you get to play with. the proper GT cars are the some of the most seriously engineered cars around

Pitty I'm stuck here in adelaide and they are in Switzerland :P

was invited over to the launch at Paul Riccard But i think the new mortgage is more important at the moment.

know anyone that wants a GT3 spec Ford GT here? chuck us a PM if you do!!

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
