looks in the way up there, i did look at them but in my opinion the whole mount looks cheap, think i may go pillar mount or like QWK32 done. just need to find a good looking mount, and a good looking gauge 2moz. ill post pics up of mine when its done!!!

Nope, it's not in the way at all. And the housing is pretty decent quality, it almost exactly matches the colour of the dashboard, so it doesn't stand out from outside the car.

if i could post the pic of what i wanna do but cant cause its a bitmap.

where the ash tray and lighter is, put a 3din in there and have oil temp+press and boost. but need five gauges all so it might change.

was thinking 2 in each corner of the cluster. plenty of room in there to fit them.

(thread steal) post up all your gauge setups people. be nice to get some pictures to some of our ideas

Don't mount your gauges too low if you're going to want to keep an eye on them.

There's already a thread with heaps of people's set-ups posted (it might be the stereo install thread, I can't remember), and I'll try and find it and link to it here. Regardless, here's what my set-up looks like - you've already seen where my boost gauge is mounted, these three are (L-R) Exhaust Temp, Oil Temp and Oil Pressure...

This is probably the best 3-Defi DIN package EVER IMO. 2x temps and one press. http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm-low/DEFI-DIN-G...ure-Meter-52178

The EBC is temporarily there until i finnish the install and hide it, the turbo timer shows boost.

That Defi unit looks impressive - would slot right into my car but for the $900 I don't have!

i've got that massive Xanvi screen thing, so only choice is down low. and its only for transmission pressure and temp. once i find out where the needle is sitting,. could maybe angle them counter clock wise or somthing.

see iv'e got my Xanvi unit taking up double din. then i have my fold out dvd player and then cup holders. then ashtray and lighter, which dont get used. i'll keep looking

my blitz gauge is in the spare din pocket under the cd player, easy to run the hoses and power lines behind the centre consol.and i took the driver side wheel arch cover out and popped a small hole thro the grommet where the loom runs thro the firewall

The problem with those gauges is that you can't choose what they monitor, Ryan. I would really have loved to have that as an option, but it didn't suit my needs.

What would you rather they were? i would be doing Water tempp/Oil temp/Oil press.

thrided, definatly the gauges you need, as most people already have a separate boost gauge anyway. but at a price of $700-$800 you could just as easily get yourself three separate 52mm gauges and a din mount gauge holder for atleast half the cost. but the quality of the defi unit would be far superior.

three defi gauges and senders is more i think, and the press gauge does boost too

i was thinking more along the lines of autometer or drift brand or similar. you get everything with the gauge when you buy defi, no need to buy senders and sensors seperatly. but yeah, i think if you were to buy 3 seperate defi gauges they would be around the same cost as the all-in-one unit.

    • Yeah i found that alot of parts can be wrong or "very" hard to get the real right one. I already bought some brakes years ago on me "old" GT calipers and they were wrong too 😄  I told them too. Even send them pictures...but they said "EBC catalogue has them on my car... So i dont know what their answer will be. I call monday them and let them know that they are really not on my car. If they were they would be already on a car...
    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
