Hey guys.

After cracking the PS2 back out and playing Gran Turismo again. Interested to see what peoples best times are. Ive been working on mostly time attacking Tsukuba.

I just cracked into a 41.9 with the formula gran turismo WITHOUT altering power or weight. And im interested to see how that compares to others. Also particulary interested in times people can get in other cars (with no restrictions, i.e qualify tyres and Nitrous are ok).

Luke

Lol. 2 of my worst tracks besides the city circuits (just dont like them).

I'll do a bit of work on the Nurburgring with a stock 95 R33 GTR Vspec to see what i can come up with.

(using street soft tyres). Road tyres irritate me. It gives me the feeling of taking a car to the track with the spare tyre and stereo still in the car. (In otherwords. Why would you?? :P )

Still interested what people are getting on Tsukuba. I love that track. Surely there are other fans out there.

Haven't really run the Nurburgring properly but I got addicted to the Tokyo Route: 246 (Normal) track.

Car was a 2002 Honda NSX-R with stage 2 weight reduction, R2/R2 tyres, no nos and horsepower rating of 484bhp (maxed). I managed a best of 1:29.925 after 10 or so attempts. If anyone has beat it then let me know, cause i will pull out the old ps2 and try to better it :D

gotta say man, that is a f**king good time. the best i could manage with that setup was about 1:33 (but i only did about 6 laps). i had to go to stage 3 weight reduction and qualifying tyres to get into the 1:29's (which it only took me 3 laps to do, LOL)

Lol. yeah it took me awhile to get it down to that time. When I said 10 attempts, I meant in 10 different sittings (each sitting could've entailed around 10 laps each try), so it actually took me like a few weeks. Reason why I didn't go nos, stage 3 weight reduction and qualifying tyres was that a 1:29 was very hard to do with that setup so it was a pretty decent challenge, hence why I kept at it until I got it under 1:30. I've still got the replay for that time saved onto the ps2 memory card if you want to check it out. I'm not sure how to get it from the memory card and upload it on to here though. Any ideas?

Ugh, worst car I've used on the game period. So impossible to judge and super twitchy with loads of understeer. 1:32.346 was best I could manage. Tokyo sucks too :P

Nurburgring FTW

You'll have to tweak the suspension and downforce settings etc until they're perfect for your driving style if you want a really good time on that track. Took me a while to get all the settings tuned for high-speed grip and stability as well before I could get anywhere near that time.

now you tell me, LOL

i didn't use nos at all. i will have another go over the weekend sometime. i didn't really play with suspension setups at all.

will have to buy another car since i have done stage 3 weight reduction now. or i will just try and beat it by a decent amount to make up for it, LOL

i used to do the tokyo track all the time in the xr8 v8 supercar a few years back. that was on gt4 prologue. i worked at toyworld and we had it on a demo machine so every afternoon after we had packed up i would do a few laps while the cashup was done. used to be able to do sub 1:30 in it..... i think, LOL. that was about 6 years ago now.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
