(emailed to me this morning)

“Don't leave a rare WRP10 WRX (only 200 imported into Aus) on display without locking wheel nuts. Actually, probably should have kept it inside and moved a couple of i30s outside for the time you had it.”

For the locals who know how close this is to the police station... and their workshop / hangout.... it is kind of embarrassing.

the badge is just behind the front wheel Nick,

nice find Steve, heres an interesting bit of trivia for you all as i work for Subaru.

WRP10 wheels (rays engineering) $1,193 each, yes each! w/o tyres...

oh and we sell lock nut too $114 :D

gee thats gotta suck!

I concur.

However I am torn between the hilarity and awe at the utter boldness, and sick feeling I get when people find it in themselves to do stuff like this.

Insurance or not - I have been on the recieving end such dog acts. It is an awful thing.

Bold, very bold.

However, it's still quite the dog act.

we had the same thing hapen when i was working at another subaru dealer, i dont know if anyone remembers the liberty blitzen, anyway they were a limeted run and they were all bright red, with big expensive wheels.

the salesman who went to move it one morning didnt know what was wrong when he put it in gear but the car wouldnt move... he got out of the car and quickly discovered the problem...

well if anyone finds a set of WRP10 wheels going cheap, be sure to check the data dots. they will be sprayed on the inside of each wheel. :D

Credit where credit is deserved.

Exactly!

Those WRP10 wheels arent the best rims subaru have released though, why would you bother? Try and find one of the late model STi's with the enkei style/multispoke ones that look like blitz technospeeds

    • LOL, "they said it might be slippery"..... 30 seconds in your off, 60 seconds in white twin backs into the corner That new track looks good, and the Datsun was chopping cars quite nicely
    • I'll get one of these also just for giggles
    • I bought 6 new spark plugs to compare readings. They will be here tomorrow and ill see if meter is far off if it all. I know one is at least reading 0 so its best replace all anyway if one is bad, from experience. I still have to test the harness just to be sure its not a double issue and I waste my time haha-the old plugs are iridium I always thought those lasted more than 50,000 km.
    • If you take the top half of the intake off you can unbolt the flap off the shaft and leave the shaft in there blocking the hole. Then you can remove the little vacuum canister off from under the manifold and get a spare vacuum line to run to the ECU. I can take some photos of it later. Probably best to get the vacuum source to the ECU sorted first though. Mine all worked mint with the base map from the GTT an I've pretty much let the closed loop sort the fueling and took 1 degree out of the whole timing map.
