Not much,

Still capable of sitting ppl at the back but depending how tall they are.

Well it's better then a Supra or RX7 back seat.

I have sat in the back seats of all 3 of them and the Skyline still better for leg room.

Hey everyone, I'm new here, although I have always loved the skylines. Just wondering how much leg room in the back seats of these cars (R32, 33 and 34 models). If anyone can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks. :P

In scientific terms - none, almost none, and a little.

The 34 coupe (GT-T/GT-R) is capable of holding a passenger and driver comfortably (im 6ft) and fit comfortably although when switching from my dad's Mitsubish Magna or my other car (Holden Commodore) i tend to notice a big difference and feel confined in the 34.

Although over time you get used to that feeling (give or take a couple of weeks) and you begin to like it...going back to the bigger cars makes you wonder what all the rest of the room is really for? :(

But if you have several passengers the 34 is horrible...i have taken a full car (5 people) and i will never do it again (in fact i never take anyone in the back at all), all the boys were over 6ft and it was just pure shit....not to mention the performance of the RB25DE declined immensley since it is a non turbo and could not cope with the extra weight.

From what i know the R33 has alot more leg room (well it feels so) and the 4 Door 34 has more room obviously since it has those extra doors. the 32 is like the 34 in terms of interior space.

Best room would be a 4 door version of any of the skylines or a 33 coupe model if your looking at 2 doors. Anyhow hope that helps out a bit...

Edit: Didn't read your thread with the rear leg room just assumed by the topic name. I would not get a 34 for the rear leg room!!!!! its terrible..you can fit a asian midget (or a baby) if your lucky fairly well....thats about it...

had an r33 then an r34, friend had an r32

r33 coupe definitely has the most rear legroom out of the three...

but that's like saying getting punched in the nuts only slightly less painful as getting kicked.

Yeah um the back seat of the R32 is good if you happen to be carting around Asian school girls, for everyone else, its EXTREMELY cramped (even in mine with GT-R seats).

In a R33, I could move my legs at least, but my head was still hitting the rear window (I'm 180cm), on the plus side, with 3 of us in there, we could go around corners without me spilling my beer :(

In terms of front seats, both have acres of room unless you happen to be a very fat person.

HR31 rear seat is somewhere in between a R32 and R33 for leg and body room.

HR31 4 door was reasonably comfy as long as I had my knees on either side of the driver seat when sitting behind it lol.

I try to strenuously avoid having back seat passengers in mine, its usually used to hold my CD wallet, random tools, bits of pipe, my club lock, hitchhiking spiders etc.

I found it fine, its got more leg room behind compared to my dad's Mazda ute & my friends 180sx (man that car has like no room in the back...).

But its tiny compared to ur family cars like camry & commodores etc etc.

    • Yeah good luck out there! Will be good to see a mighty GTST going harder than the GTRs

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
