If you contest a fine (speeding, accident, hooning, etc) in court and lose the case, it will go down on your criminal record. Thus everytime I get fined I cough up the coin and never contest.

Not so.

I've contested numerous fines and traffic offenses.

Having a "Criminal Record" means you have been convicted of a crime. Not an offense against the road traffic act. (someone with a better understanding law might be able to phrase this better than myself)

Hmm I see. Did you lose a few of those cases?I'm just going off what an older officer I know told me. He's been in the force pretty much most of his life, so I'm just saying what he told me. :S If anyone else 'knows someone' maybe we could get a second opinion on it.

The cop is full of crap like 95% of them are... so you fight a speeding fine in court and they say you have to pay it and now you can not get a job cause you have a speeding ticket... umm i dont think so.

Ok ppl pipe down ok, and get ur facts straight.... No i am not gonna get a criminal record.. don' be stupid. Dangerous driving is not worse that wrekless...

Take in mind im not on p's and this is my first time in court

Wreckless - The courts must give 6months suspenstion

Dangerous - Up to judge could be 3months or just a fine

OK ppl thats wat it is.

So yes opions welcome but calm down. Im not saying im inocent. But, Im guessin not one person on this forum can say they have neva done a burnout. I know i have done wrong and yes i got caught, so i will have some sort of fine. The only thing i was saying is, thinking of the upside, i didn't do it on the road, i was only endagering my self, coz there was nobody around. THATS why the lawyer said he believes ive been wrongly charged.

good luck in the case an i dont think u can do that douple or nothink thing wen u get caught by hoon law is this gonna affect ur job

yeh its gonna make it hard to get to work, but not imposible. Plus its only nightfill soo can always change my job :P;)

I can say ive never done a burnout =]

Lost them all

Being found guilty of an offense in a court is exactly the same as paying the fine when it arrives in the mail (admitting guilt) - No criminal record either way.

Sometimes paying the $60 court costs (as I lost) just to have your case heard is worth it :P

ive never done a burnout or skid either

The police will try pin anything on anyone if the give the slightest admittance of guilt.

1st time I got pulled over, I had a Sgt yell in my face at 5.20pm trying to get me to confess to doing a burnout that happened at 6.00am (when that day I woke up at 7.00am to go to tafe at 7.45am) when I denied it the first time, he said that "all these people witnessed it" pointing to the road crew, I told him I didn't know what he was talking about. He searched to car bumper to bumper and found nothing wrong with it.

When I went to leave he did the whole macho cop thing saying that I was on "the list" now, and that anytime a cop saw me or my car they would pull it over and search it.

What a load of crap that was,

i do have my facts straight.

dangerous driving is worse, u can lose ur license for up to 12months and fined up to 2k & it goes on ur criminal record.

True with dangerous if the judge is nice, he can let u off without loss of licence and a minimum of $6## fine and u have to pay $200 court costs.

wreckless is lose licence and fine.

u decide which is worse, i'd rather not have a criminal record.

been there done that

    • Have you done the Ignition Sync Wizard in the AEM software?
    • Find out what RPM it was idling at with the IACV unplugged. It's very weird that the rpm didn't change at all, and then it stalled. When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
