Sure you can buy a lot of cars for $128,000. but a Autech stagea is in the same area as a Genuine 400R. A 400R still fetches 10-14 million yen at auction ($180,000) if one goes up for sale,so that car would sell here for $300,000 + but it can't be leagally complied here. the autech stagea's sell for 5.7- 7 million yen .(70-$95,000)

Why do these cars pull so much money and draw so much attention.

1998 Skyline GTR 400R ( 99 Produced only)

1 has only left japan for export , it was sold to the Sultan of Dubai.

2000 Nissan Autech Stagea RS260 (121 Produced only)

My car is build no 121 and is the last of build WGNC34, only 5 have left Japan for export , 1 England , 1 Australia, 2 New Zealand. I have 1 more coming soon.

A RS4 is a good car but its not a "Nissan" , its not a "Stagea", And its not a "Autech Stagea RS260". arr those Nismo/Autech guys really do know how to build a car, before I sell it I am going out to find a few cars one night , just to leave its mark on the gold coast.

PS if its not sold before I have agreed to display it at the Brisbane Motor Show. and it won't be on the "Nissan stand"

I'm up for a whooping! Let us know when it's gunna be out!

A 1998 400R skyline GTR is a modified vehicle from factory.

Under new sevs rules a car eligable for compliance must be un modified and must pass emmissions, a car must have the same engine as the compliance ADR's. A 400R is a 2.8ltr DETT where all GTR's complied must be 2.6ltr. they also have carbon fibre drive shaft which does not pass ADR. basically theres about 43 items fom engine to body to interior that fail. 400R also has drivers airbag removed. The wheel flares also fail as the car is wider than a standard GTR. you would have to reapply as its a completly differant car.

Basically the new system sucks , The only genuine 400R you see in Australia would be an illegal one.

The Kakimoto cars were built by Ernie Parry at Skyline imports here in Australia, that was under the old system of compliance. He would have to apply for a separate set of plates now for that car. I do not think it would pass anyway under the new system, The cobra kit cars are having a real bad time complying them under the new system. Remember under the new system all cars must be as built from assembly line, that includes standard exhaust.

Kakimoto is a after market builder, those cars do not comply under the new rules so you can't comply them. They should not have been complied under the old scheme acctually. they are really illegal and if in a accident you could be in a lot of trouble

Hahah.. funny. Ernie no longer sells the kakimoto kits, as a call was made to Mr kakimoto him self about the fake kits being sold here in Australia. Long story short, if he sells the kits, Kakimoto sue's Erine.

That may be so, They were only GTS-T Skylines and the price was around $50,000 last time I saw one, I was told they were damaged cars rebuilt but I never got to see them put together. So all I know is they were GTS's . Well the one I saw was. Don't know if he did a GTR

Why are you advertising on my thread,Go start your own thread,Who cares if you can buy a base model Stagea for $25,000 in perth, Mine is a real, Authentic, genuine , NO IMITATION, Autech RS260, The last one built, The highest optioned Autech in the World, A one off, I see you have a RB26DETT in your 240Z, Or so you claim, Save some money and buy the rest of the GTR, You probably shop at Target, You just seem to be thinking of the savings, You would be a person who puts a GTR badge on a GTS, Save some money and buy a real car!!

That's a bit harsh. Yeah he shouldn't have advertised in your thread, but theres no need to say that shit.

How about "I think that was a bit inappropriate"..

Not all of us have $125,000 to spend.

NB. Target ain't that cheap anymore either.

I'm just sick off all the tyre kickers, thats why I'm getting out of the industry, I used to love the Skyline people but it now seems to be 80% tyer kickers, Am I angry Yes I've had enough, last week I put a ad and had 103 emails, all wanted 6 photo,s from every angle of all differant parts and emailed,I am not a professional photographer. even had a guy who wanted genuine GTR badge for the boot, 33 naturally!!!!,plus of course the photo, price $20 he wouldn't buy it because he didn't want to pay "GST".

So why do I get upset, Well 618 photo's later and I'm tired of the crap!!!, A $4000 exhaust selling for $2000 a customer enquires and wants Photo's and details on HP figures after fitting,3 days later says no his budget is $300.

Well maybe your right, it was foolish to advertise a $128,000 on this site. I should have just advertised the Badge for $20 inclusive of GST and I'll pay the freight Nationwide.

MY MISTAKE

    • For these last 7 years of ownership, I've always had to use a small scissor jack under one of the front tow hooks to raise the front just enough so my low-profile jack fits under to reach my subframe jack point. I'm beginning to get annoyed of always having to do this. Are there any lower low-profile jacks that fit under the gtr lip on a dropped car?
    • Seat of the pants assessment of the new intake: The car is way less "doughy" when hitting the loud pedal, especially off idle when stopped or in traffic, I did use a cheapo lazer thermal thingo to measure the temp around where the pod filter got its air, it was between 55 - 60°C, in saying this the car was shut off and not moving, so the OEM intake pipe was not supplying any fresh air to where the pod was when the car was at least moving A weird bonus was induction noise on the throttle in the cabin increased a bit,  I was worried that I was actually going to lose some of that induction noise I love so much, outside though, when I got the daughter to do a WOT drive by pass for me, the induction noise has increased alot when on the throttle, not quite ITB doort, but well up there I'm extremely happy with the results and have been exploring the country roads in the region  As for house mods: 1.New front fence is up and is awesome, it really upgraded how the joint looks from the street, and the added security is nice 2. Electricians have replace some interior lights, and with more lighting in the garage, a few new motion detecting lights out the front above the garage, front room, and at the front door, which I have already found heaps helpful coming and going, also now has fancy pants CCTV all round the house The only hold point for power though is the solar and batteries due to supply issues, although this will happen over the next few weeks 3. I have done a heap of landscaping out the front and I'm almost ready to do a new small retaining wall with some nice blocks to replace the brick and cemented in rocks around the raised garden beds cemented in river stone "was the fashion at the time" the house was built. I currently have a pallet of retaining wall blocks and 2 bulka bags of 20mm blue metal to replace the wood chip that is in the raised garden beds around the house 4. I now have 3 big raised garden beds for out the back to grow some vegetables, about 70cm high, 200cm long and 100cm wide 5. My 2 compost bins are already pretty full with brown, green and kitchen waste from the landscaping I'vedone so far, but they will probably take a few months to break down, so anything else that gets chopped, trimmed, and kitchen waste will just start filling the base of the raised garden beds to about 30cm before I start throwing 40cm of good compost, and stuff, for the vegetables to grow in, I'll need a few ton of compost and soil, but the local supplier can sent me bulka bags of the stuff Basically the logs, wood chips and a few strategically placed rocks for drainage, will give the beds some good organic materials down low to break down over time, and they will hold moisture during the warmer months to save the water in my big arse water tank if we don't get alot of rain So, all in all, the car and house mods are going well, and I'm really enjoying being retired, I sleep in too 0700 and slowly plod around inside until I feel like actually doing anything, and only work in the yard for as long as want, which has actually been alot over the last few weeks,  although when you look at it, it seems that not a huge amount of work has been done,  until I look at the before I started the work pics Happy days and good times indeed
    • hahaha yeah. Plan is to get side skirts and probably just rear pods. But going to do them one-by-one. I've got a set that I really like from RHDJapen, but that one isn't shipped to AU. So need to find someone who can get it for me
    • Here's an idea, answer the questions I asked you as they are trying to work out WHY the LSD will be binding up in a straight line.
