Just got off the phone with him today, he said he's in Melbourne and the only way to buy parts is to pay him via bank deposit, then once he receives the money, he will send out the parts via courier which are currently at his mate's house in Wollongong

On another note, i'm wondering if anyone has received their parts via a courier, or received parts in general? PM me or post here

Cheers

that's very strange i've been calling him quite a bit and have no returned calls

I just called arlos. he hung up the phone as soon as I said it was me. then the phones been turned off when I tried calling back.

I think i've officially been dogged =[

I suggest anyone else interested only deal with this guy in person.

i'd anyone has info on this guy please share.

please call me on 0424253000 or send ur number through i call u and we will organise a reasonable price that suits both of us lunky u i still have front guards and whole rear sub frame availble.

Hey mate, Tried calling today but phone switched off. Can you give me a call on 0411 644 970. If i miss it just send through a sms and i'll get back to you asap.

i called thismorning and carlos told me he is in melbourne and the part i wanted was in sydney.

i offered to make payment through paypal - not an option. also appears COD was not an option.

i also offered a few hundred bux (yes, a few HUNDRED) more than his asking price IF i could pick up and pay cash, and i'd give the cash directly to his mate. he advised this was not an option and that payment could only be made via direct deposit and then the part would be couriered to me by his mate in 3 - 5 days.

carlos if you change your mind and if it helps, i'm happy to clear up the confusion everyone seems to have here and as per my offer - pick up the part + pay the cash, and then put a note back on here about how we go?? :)

cheers.

it took alot for me to say NO to his 'second' set of R34 GTR rims with 70% tread for $1000, seeing i want a set so ****ing bad

but when a deal just seems too good to be true, most of the time it is.

thanks mods for confirming it.

He says the 2nd set of GTR rims are located in Wollongong at a mates house, and that the couriers are actually his mates

What i want to know is where he sources the parts from, someone who spoke to him said he was dogged on compliance with his R34 GTR, so why is it that parts are located in Wollongong and where does he source the extra sets of goods from.

I don't mean to offend your integrity Carlos, but you offer no protection for the customers who want to buy your kit, even the basics like Paypal or COD, you have to understand the logic behind people just transferring the funds with no assurance or guarantee of receiving their goods

I'd be willing to buy the rims simply providing you get your mate to send some pics, i'd be willing to deposit the postage in your account first, then when the goods arrive, i will deposit the remaining balance into your account

Cheers,

Danny

I dealt with Carlos within the first few days but i did it face to face which didnt seem like an issue back then ...

However if further complaints arise and parts are not being received ... i am able to assist moderators with supplying Carlos's home address .. or rather, the house at which i met Carlos [which had the r34 gtr in the backyard]

    • That sounds like an excellent idea. But total self-sufficiency means exactly that. You have no-one else to blame when your system faults out and you have no power for a week or two while it gets fixed. You'd have to go the whole hog and get a diesel genny and all the switchover gear, to get you through such times. And, despite the fact that over 20 years, my system has been pretty reliable**, I have seen so many inverter explosions (or less dramatic deaths), panel and roof JB fires, and so on, over that time, to know that the stuff is the same as any other bulk Chinese manufactured stuff. The failure rate is well above zero - both on the equipment and on behalf of the meth addled installation labour force. And then..... warranty and means of redress against the supplier you bought the gear from. Best I can tell is that only a handful of solar companies are still around within 5 years of starting their advertising pitch. They disappear and phoenix like crazy. So, as per 1st paragraph, I suspect the only way to is go balls deep and spend maybe 2-3 times as much as you might think, so that you have every base covered. Plus, know and understand your gear intimately, so you can diagnose problems, sort them out yourself, etc, etc. Plus, probably have to consider upgrading various parts as the years pass, to maintain compatibility with newer stuff, performance and reliability, etc, etc. Whereas, remaining attached to the grid has an ongoing cost that keeps going up even if you use bugger all power from it. But it does provide the fallback in case of the worst case with your own gear. You either pay up front or as you go, I suspect.
    • Add more solar panels to the array. Call the electricity company and tell them you're moving out... Live off grid electric wise
    • Hi Jasmine. How's the war going?
    • I'm extremely suspicious of the VPP stuff. Best I can tell, you surrender any and all control of your panels and battery to the VPP, because there's no way that anyone could write a sufficiently useful set of "rules" as to how much you would be willing to let out of your export meter at any given time. If one of your main interests is to have enough in your battery every evening to get you through the night without having to import, you could easily find yourself with nothing in your battery at the end of the day, or part way through the night, and then be paying import pricing instead of paying nothing. I cannot see how this cannot come to pass.
    • majority aftermarket is an10 yes, but majority of OEM is An12 r35 OEM cooler lines at close to an 12, the hard line that car uses is almost 20mm  Porsche OEM is also AN12   i figure, if our power levels are close to 1000hp, then AN12 should be a must if many OEM standard power vehicles use AN12
