Ahk cool, I knew the car you meant, but I didnt see it in the list, Was in previous versions of GT though...so might be lucky and they will stick it in there.

or just "stage 5 turbo" the road car lol

I hope so, it was in GT1&2 I'm pretty sure... those games are to blame for turning me into a skyline head in the first place... HKS drag 33 was hilarious to punt... also have a major soft spot for RUF Porsches, had some silly modded one that would decimate all my mates cars... alas my budget to actually own those cars in real life only extends to a 15yr old GTR... maybe I'll get back into RUF tuned Porsches in GT5 and in 15 years time I'll actually be able to afford one lol

i remember one of the early GT games where you could win/buy a proper drag car. think it was a funny car type thing or was it a full dragster? i can't remember, but anywho, that thing was funny to try and race around tracks with. blast it down the straights and then have to slow right down for corners, lol

Yeah the glitch was cool. turn rear downforce up to full, turn the front downforce down to the lowest setting. at about 350kmh it would do a wheelstand and the speed would skyrocket.

Pretty sure there was a drag car in one of the earlier games that wasn't the hks 33.

If I remember correctly there were 2 HKS drag cars, the R33 and a 180SX....

it was at the Eb games in Vic park centre W.A

I even asked him if he was sure coz i saw 25th on the site and he said yeah they got a last min thingy. Maybe he was just bullshiting...

probably not bullshitting, just an idiot who saw an email saying "next thursday" and thought "the next thrusday is tomorrow (well today now) so that must be when the game is being released"

EB have a bonus for pre ordering the standard edition that they updated today. Before I believe you didn't get anything, now if you pre order the standard edition you get all 6 of the stealth cars from the signature edition.

anyone wondering about the game should read this. 40 minute install time is going to suck. i'll just start installing it the moment i get home and then it should be done by the time i finish dinner

^ lucky I've got a heap of HDD space, then

Its still 25th of November on ebgames.com.au - they wouldnt do a last minute release like that... a last minute delay sounds more believable! :)

pre-ordered a standard copy from JB Hi-Fi last night, and the woman at the check out mentioned they were currently embargoed- which means they're in the country ready to go. probably under military guard!

my receipt confirms release date is 25/11/10 :D

    • Did you panel beat the dents or have you tried to repair this only using filler?  Is your sanding block soft/flexible and is following the shape of the panel rather then just knocking down the high points?
    • I haven't knocked them down yet. I think I made the repair more complex than it should have been. I had rock chips combined with waviness and dents and I tackled it all in one because it was near each other and just end up wasting a bunch of bog lol. I'll knock down those areas and see how I go. And yep what you are saying at the end is correct. I think I might be sanding the top of a steep hill then my sanding block falls into the dent and gets rid of the guidecoat if that makes sense. Though shouldnt unless I'm covering too big of an area with not a long enough block. I'll try something new and provide some updates. Getting there though! Thanks as always.
    • Yeah makes sense, hard to comment on your situation without seeing what your doing. I was talking generally before, I would not be looking to randomly create low spots with a hammer to then have to fill them.  It's hard without seeing what your doing, it sounds like you are using the guide coat to identify low spots, as you're saying the panel is still wavy. I don't see how you're not ending up with patches of guide coat remaining in a wavy panel? Once the high spots are knocked down to the correct level, surely to have a wavy panel you need low spots. And those low spots would have guide coat still in them?
    • So I'll put filler past the repair area a bit to make sure I don't miss anything. Then I'll block it until it's almost level, put the guidecoat, then keep blocking until it's gone. Then it's still wavy.  In regards to hitting the panel, I saw this video might give more context - Skip to 0:47 he knocks it down. But yeah I'm sanding until the guidecoat is gone then checking because otherwise my filler is still well above the bodyline. Unless what you're saying is I should put guidecoat around it early, surrounding the filler then stip once it's gone?
    • I refreshed the OEM injectors with the kit and connected it up. It now ideals okay even with the IACV removed. Driving still has the same cutoff issue like the 550cc injectors so the issue is somewhere else. I bought FPG's Fuel Pump Hanger. I will be installing it next, but it is not as straightforward as I thought it was with my limited wiring knowledge and no instruction on the specific model I purchased (FPG-089). I also got the incorrect billet clamp as I could not find info on the OEM sizing.
