nah they have.... like a wheel where the X and square buttons are as your accelerator and brake so you can control your acceleration alot better

they look interesting, but i cant be bothered getting one from over in america

pretty sure someone in this thread bought one. personally i wouldn't waste the money, especially just because it has HKS on it. just get a white-out pen and write HKS on your controller.

It was me... the steering wheel thing and pedal buttons on the HKS controller does allow for better control over how much power/steering you're using. It probably wouldnt sell that well without the HKS name but since it does zomg its awesome.

so if it really is better than the standard controller, howcome you've only had it for like a week and your getting rid of it?

lol you say its to fund your car.. i dont think it'll go very far towards that.. what would it buy? a wheel alignment maybe?

Its going towards replacing the funds that I've spent buying NISMO Air Flow Meters. Shit will add up once I pawn off some more junk.

I hardly play GT5 anymore, I'm still only at like level 8... it got boring. I was playing with the HKS controller on Need For Speed Hot Pursuit for awhile but even then I still hardly touched that - just too busy with work and cbf doing much when I get home from work. I have a habit of buying stuff, using it for a short period of time or hardly use it at all then it either sits there and collects dust for ages and eventually gets eBay'd off or sometimes/lately I just chuck it on eBay once I've had my fun with it. Any other questions?

So i've finally managed to start capturing gameplay through the Avermedia AVerTV HD Capture card, must say the quality isnt bad. it says recording up to 1080p but the quality doesnt look like 1080p to me. but good quality none the less. here is a short .flv of one of the GT all stars races

What car are people using to get past the Gt all stars championship? originally i was using the R34 GTR, then tried the Nismo/Xanavi R35 JGTC/SUPER GT car. The R34 couldnt heep up no matter what i did, the R35 was a loosing battle aswell. so after a reccomendation from a few friends overseas to try the vette Z06 and race prep the thing. it worked :)

currently on A-spec level 21.5 but b-level isnt worth wasting my time on just yet  do many of you race it online yet?

My B spec driver is at level 14. from about level 13 on they can be trusted with a high powered RWD car and won't loop it at every sharp corner when they are in the red zone

I've got 2 at class 31, 1 at 32 and the top guy is 33. Now that I've reached the Tsukuba 9h enduro, I'm going to alternate putting one of the two newest guys (13 and 14 currently) in as part of the team for each race to improve them. Will see at 6pm tonight how far they progress in one swoop from their 1/4 share of 661,144 xp.

Liger, i'm still saving up to buy a car to use in that race. still got 1.5 mill to go before i can afford one.

Has anyone had a go at the second round of seasonal events? i've had a go at 2 and have been smashed both times, finishing about 20 seconds behind in 1 and 40 behind in the other. they must hve decided to make these ones much harder that the last lot which i was able to win all of

Sounds good to me. Only just picked up my second driver (don't get much time to play :() and made sure he was a hothead.

My coolheaded driver doesn't allow me to walk away from a single B-spec race. Even in the early races against 300ZX's etc he becomes so complacent in the 650+hp LFA that he will drop his half lap lead and let others overtake him.

Looking forward to just letting a driver drive on his own.

you need to raise them slowly. big cars and no talent leads to no learning with these guys. put him in a car thats only a little better than the competition. if that doesnt work, sack him and get a new driver :)

Still got it I'll buy it pm me put cash on your bank tomorrow

I did nothing but B-spec (from 0) for 2.5 weeks. Was made easier by having all my car collezione courtesy of lev.23 A-spec to race with. Could certainly be done quicker if you're around the PS3 all day to restart races in the pre-enduro levels.

Anywho, the answer to the question posed last night is: 4 hours 9 minutes 54 seconds, at an average speed of 240km/h

Now I'm going to have to run the Le Mans 24H 11 times to reach 40.

Just for shits'n'giggles, I think I'll see how much power I can knock off the current 1557hp by not changing the oil in it until I get to the end of B-spec

    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
    • From memory, on the R33 GTSt at least, while everyone says "It's not adjustable", I found when I changed clutches in mine, it just needed a small adjustment on the rod length. But be very wary here, as you could end up trying to push the pushrod in the master too far, or blowing out the slave.   Most likely though, if the master/slave isn't bypassing internally or leaking out, then the throw out is the wrong height compared to the fingers on the clutch, so when it moves to disengage the clutch, it isn't 100% disengaged. You can check part of this out too by jacking the car up, having the engine running, put your foot on the clutch and try to engage 1st gear. If it goes in pretty easy (Compared to the ground) and/or the wheels start turning a fair bit and it takes a bit too much brake pedal to bring them back to a stop, this is likely the issue.  I'm not sure if you can adjust the height of the forks etc in these though, it's been that long since I've touched any RB gearbox.
    • That's all good, I thought I was missing some interesting feature! Maybe @PranK can double check if that is something that is meant to be operating or not.
    • I hope that is not something that bad. From what i remember he said that only first gear is "hard" to get in and that he has couple of ideas what to try next but idk 😕  hope it is not gearbox out. I will let you know.
    • If it's not the hydraulics, it is probably gearbox back out. Usually as per @Duncan's post, or otherwise associated with not getting the throwout fork positioned correctly. All the way up to catastrophically bolting shit back together without it being aligned properly and wrecking the clutch/input shaft/flywheel/something else.
