Engine bay pics? or pics of the car? Outside looks pretty much like any skyline, except blue badges and for the R34 different factory front bar.

I made a start on modifying the engine cover to fit, still needs more work trimming and smoothing, but still looks far better than ntohing at all! The DE NEO's are pretty ugly underneath it all. Had to make a custom bracket though, which is something temporary at the moment made up from leftover FMIC kit brackets and a combination of bolts and nuts which worked out quite well considering :) The heatshield is something I cut up from the ACL heatshield material, and has made a significant difference! Intake pipe and silicon bend is no longer scorching hot after a drive, but rather just warm. seems to be sustaining power for longer before heatsoak becomes an issue :P Eventually I'll do a few more things to make the engine bay look a bit nicer/neater.

Well I'm only running 7PSI, but compared to N/A it's good to have some decent power! Holding up well, been 5 months now since the conversion.

Here's a few shots I took tonight in high sensitivity mode on my cybershot.. not the clearest photos but I like slow shutter without flash :(

Thats really nice nathan, neatest conversion i have ever seen

Thanks  It's getting there, work in progress. Dan's conversion has to be one of the neatest I've seen actually, but he didn't have FMIC piping going over the radiator. FMIC piping over the radiator already looks messy IMO.

Only around 160rwkw at the moment but that's on 7PSI and with an auto transmission. That particular Dyno has been known to report around 10kw under, and sometimes up to 20kw in some cases, but power figures are only numbers, what matters is the driveability and reliability of that power figure. It's easy to make more power really, all whats needed is more boost, but everything one step at a time. Trying to make more use out of power already there at the moment, which is why I've started with the heatshield, airbox, and next up a cold air feed. Once I'm satisfied with the keeping temps down side of things, then I'll look at either stage 2 shift kit and autotrans service complete with transmission fluid cooler (try to eliminate flaring, speed up the shifts and get the existing power to the wheels more efficiently and without overheating the gearbox); or an EBC. My tuner reckons that my R33 turbo is good for up to 12PSI, though I'm not sure if I'd run it that high as yet, not with a used R33 turbo. But 12PSI with an EBC should see it making some sweeet power, which admittedly I am craving for lol

I have been drifting my r32 rb25de+t for the past 2 years, prior to the conversion i rebuilt the engine and fitted a 1.8mm cometic headgasket, lowering the compression ratio just enough.

After a decent run in period i bolted up the Garret 3071R and external gate and after going through 3 rb20 boxes it fitted a rb25 box and a once piece tailshaft.

But she's good for up to 400hp running just 1 bar of boost... rb25de+t engine all the way man.

Theres a thread here of the conversion in progress.

Finished product here on tunersine article.

Very nice Tiff! Loving that R32! Done an awesome job with it, well done!

Just so you know, we have a thread just for N/A+t power results, would love to see the results there! Good to see another N/A+t conversion that's come out good

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/N-...-N-t249186.html

210RWKW off 9.5PSI, RB25DE+T, FMIC, 3" exhuast stock 33 ecu & injectors, highflow T3.

2500rpm full boost. Because of the high compression, it makes more power per PSI boost, so 210rwkw with no R&R (used to R&R after 10PSI though)

Next thing I'm hoping to add on is something along the lines of a TD06-20g or possibly something like a 3076r... will have to forge as well to turn up boost anymore, for piece of mind...

Great to see more and more de+t's!

Adam

cheers mate, ur car has sprung up looking the goods! interior took me 5 days, 9 layers, 4 different spray cans... but its pretty scratch proof now, which is what I really wanted.

and the engine looks nice because this was at a show and shine so gave it a clean before I came

btw, to clean up and polish all the metal bits in ur engine bay to finish of the rest of the good looks, I use this stuff... U can get it at any autobarn...

works a treat!

I decided to get a handwash and polish done today at the Carwash Cafe place in Mt Gravatt. Just wanted to get it looking nice for the charity cruise tomorrow.

So here I go whoring this thread again :( Same location, same method.

(ps. I really need to get out and take photos before it's completely dark lol)

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
