Guesstimate on Non-VS with low Kms on 2002 model & great condition = $59K

Does it have

i) black seats & interior

ii) rear undertray C/F diffuser

iii) single NACA Duct on C/F bonnet

iv) front splitter/diffuser parts A & B ? ? ?

That means that a VS II (which came out October 2000) can be worth approx $69K with low Kms on 2002 model.

If it's a 2002 model it can't be a VS I.

Mine is an 02 Vs2 with low kmw and i paid 65k for it; today you could get one, depending on interior and exterior paint condition for about 60k or 70k for a near perfect one.

seems the new r35 gtr isnt affecting the r34 too much

true that

2002 is actually on big demand... because there is a BIG difference in pricing between the 1999 or 2000 model GT-R V-spec or non v-specs to the 2002', even though its only a year or two apart

its a non v spec

so being a 2002 its worth alot more?

so would $50,000 be a good buy?

yes possibly....its hard to say

as you mentioned 40,000km as "genuine"... you dont know that either...

sometimes its impossible to tell.

Most imports do get the odometers clocked back a bit... the GT-R R34 is no exception.

but if its in good nick... i cant see why it wouldnt be

As a leftover from my research on car sales websites and such when i was looking for my GTR...decided i couldnt afford one, which is why i have the 33. You generally wont find one privately sold regardless of year of kms for less than 45k. 50k sounds about right.

Yea both are different cars, considering the GTR is like $170k or so its a different ball game. Wont be for another few years before the R35 would affect the R34 GTR pricing. As an R34 GTR i wouldnt want to see my pride and joy depriciating quickly :P

The interior in the s2 is alot better, you really appreciate the dark grey/black over the light grey.

Your on the ball there, the new GTR is a different class of driver; closer to the m3 and rs4

+1 on the r34 gtr depreciation, im tryna keep mine in perfect nick; only driven once a week, never hit anywhere close to redline and serviced every 2000kms lolz

then again depreciation happens regardless of what you buy (in lue property), its something that happens everyday and ive come to terms with it so my stress level can go down a notch.

Agree, R34 to R35 are in a different ball park for years to come. In 3 years time the R35 will still be more than 100K 2nd hand I rekon.

I actually believe the R35 will be less than 100k within 1.5 years from now. Why? Because they're falling in prices in the auctions, and falling fast.

The cheapest GT-R sold was under 5 mil yen only a few days ago.

2009/06 Nissan Gt-r

Premium 4WD CBA 08 32 grey 3800 FAT - 4.5 AAC, pw, ps, aw, tv, abs, nav, srs sold

¥ 4,980 k

The above car if it was imported here, it will cost under $120k complied and regoed. In comparison, an R34 GT-R V Spec II Nur in blue sold for 5.5 mil yen in Febuary. We are now seeing that a good low km late model R34 is selling for more than an R35.

So in no time, we can see R35's going for 100k or less in this country.

yes, and the Brushed Aluminium Panels on the centre console is alot nicer than the yellowy gold colour of the series 1.

Both series cars have fake brushed aluminium trims. The first series are lighter in colour while the later ones are darker.

FWIW, my Vspec II Nür cost me a bucketload just 6 months ago. Not far off what some people are still asking for Nür's. I was surprised at the value, considering it's 7 years old..

Worth every penny, though.

Unique Cars' Value Guide 2009 sets it at over 100,000 in Grade A condition, from memory. With the Nur...its not how old it is. It's how rare it is. Hence why the Z-Tune prices are through the roof - there being only 19 of them and all.

    • The speedo's can be very conservative, when my Mazda NC MX5 speedo is showing 118kph, the GPS, and a calibrated radar.... cop mate.....hits me at around 110kph +/- 1 or 2 kph, and that is on a 215/45 17, stock tyres size is 205/45 17 as well, so weirdly conservative with stock tyre size When my Commodore speedo red 116kph GPS had me at 110kph After doing some offset and clearance measurements to see what can fit the NC on 17x8 +40, without guard rolling or rubbing anything at my current ride height, I've decided that when my tyres are toast, I'm going to fit 225/45 17 and see where that gets me IRT actual speed of my speedo and GPS/radar From the online calculator I should be still be doing around 5kph under an actual 110kph when the speedo is showing 110kph My ADHD requires that when I'm doing 110kph on the speedo, that the actual road speed is actually really close to that, and not alot slower And going from 205 to 225 still keeps the car within the %/mm allowable in the NSW vehicle rules and regulations, which is nice, as long as I'm looking at the latest version that is.....LOL https://www.nsw.gov.au/sites/default/files/2021-02/RMS-13.464-Light-vehicle-modifications-Vehicle-Standards-Information-No-6-November-2013.pdf
    • Take the value it measured as, and pick the closest range available that is above the reading on the screen.   Also, no point just testing the coils. Read what has been said again. You need to test all your wiring, everything.
    • Does the scanner do all the CUs in the car, or only the ECU?
    • @666DAN sorry to bring you and old thread.     I've got my de+t done and it's all running great other than 1 small issue.    Car has remained auto with the na auto and tcm, I've used a stagea ecu with. NIstune board and everything is great other than my gear selection on the dash. It illuminates park, reverse, neutral, 3rd and 2nd when selected . But nothing when in  drive or what gear your in when you pop it into tiptronic. I'm sure there is maybe 1 wire in the ecu plug I need to move to rectify this. Do ya have any ideas?     Cheers man
    • Well I recently changed my rear axles and was thinking if I bumped anything, I have been driving the car for a while now though... But it has been raining today so everything is wet under the wheel arches. Brakes feel fine and can't hear any of the metal screamers, I had a squeak coming from one of the handbrake drums but that seems to have gone away a while ago. I was going down a hill when it lit up and I did feel the abs bite for a second and question why it did it?
