So....I took my car to a self car wash, and there is so many scratches. That brush full scratched my car, very visible scratches, more than just swirls.

Anyway, does anybody recommend someone in Sydney that might be able to help me remove all these car wash scratches/swirls.

Ohh and how much will it cost?

Cheers,

Danny

I never take my car to those places.

So many dirty 4WDs precede you.

BTW, is there any 'lack of disclaimer' at that establishment?

Search for threads by PolishDoc and others.

Can use Zymol (or other high quality) Polish > Sealer > Canauba Wax

i take it you have a black car...as most who have posted here have..lol as do I. yeah first time i took mine to one was the last time i used the brush for cleaning. What I do now is dab the brush onto the car when soap is dispensed, then use a wool mit to clean but I still come away with some scratches from the brush.

a good polish should help get em out.

Black Beauty! =)

Wool Mit is perfect for it, you use it as normal wash but the trick is, you just glide it over your car and you do not put pressure at it at all. this should reduce the swirling that it makes. Just my opinion anyway. =)

oh and avoid taking your car to those car wash boxes! unless you bring your own stuff.. and just use their high pressure rinse. everyone uses the brush to clean the tyres and wheels last before hanging it back ready for the next round!

It can be fixed...you're looking around $250-$300 or so depending on who you goto.

The detailer will probably start with a medium swirl remover on a rotary on a medium/light pad. This will have to be followed up by a sealant/wax/both of your choosing or the detailers.

Never ever use drive thru washes if you're worried about swirls peoples.

I don't really recommend doing this yourself if you haven't done it before.. you may cause more damage if anything and it is a VERY time consuming process and special equipment really does help.

GL.

    • Yeah I also looked at Plazmaman, but, it ended up alot  cheaper getting black ones through EFI when you also added in the delivery cost
    • Nice shot! They look super clean. The roof rack delete on the black one is interesting. Would like to see more pictures from different angles. It's subtle but could make quite a difference to how the car looks in profile.
