Yes,

GTR and GTS-T (2 door) boot lids are the same.

To make it easier, try to find a GTR boot lid with the GTR spoiler on it already and just swap it.

Also, don't forget to change the boot lock as well (Put you old one back on the GTR one)

Sorry buddy. I tried this first hand. GTST bootlid definitely does not fit a GTR.

By the way if you want to buy a GTST bootlid with no holes in it I have 2 GTR rear wings you can choose from :P

I have a R32 GTS-T boot lid on at the moment...

When i fitted mine it closed but the fitment just did not seem right.

I also measured it and it was a slight difference.

I'm not trying to start an argument :)

I'm the guy you sent pics of your car to. I like it a lot :)

Yeah, nah, not arguing with you. :)

I should have explain what I meant...

The panel beater fitted the GTS-T boot lid for me after I got rear ended.

They would have did some alterations or what ever they do to make it fit.

Anyway... What difference did you find in the GTS-T and GTR boot lid?

Cool! :)

Yeah that's fine, hope you liked the pics! Need to see yours now LOL!

Well i tried to fit it at home. It bolted on fine. Closed properly but just wasn't a perfect fit. Shape was the same too. I'll have to say it was mm's off. I just got my existing bootlid rewelded and resprayed.

Worked out easier in the end but now i really have a spare bootlid

Don't worry i'll send you pics when its done. Which will hopefully be soon. Resembles your car a way

I see...

So you wanted to remove your spoiler and you thought you could just interchange a GTS-T boot lid on your GTR, but you ended up just removing you spoiler off you GTR boot lid and refit after paint and welding...

Just use the other boot lid for spare parts LOL!

hahaha not quite. i bought the GTST bootlid and put it on the GTR and realised it didn't fit. Swore for the rest of the night because everyone was telling me it should fit but didn't. Asked a few more people and some people told me its not supposed to be the same.

Also nobody really sells wingless GTR bootlids.

So I took my existiing bootlid to the panel beaters and got it rewelded and resprayed.

  • 2 months later...

Sorry to bring this topic back from the dead, but I just tried removing the GTR wing from my GTS-T bootlid(just out of interest really, might put it back on or perhaps a GTS-T wing). Anyway, I removed the four obvious nuts(2 from each pillar, the only ones I could find) and expected it to just lift right off, but it didn't.

Are there any other nuts that I need to remove? Perhaps there's some glue there or over time it's seized together... but I didn't want to pull too hard at risk of breaking something. Any ideas?

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
