A P-plate driver has been charged following a pursuit in country Victoria.

A police divisional van at Rocheseter attempted to intercept the 1989 Nissan GTS coupe as it passed them at high speed on the Northern Highway shortly before 8pm.

The powerful Nissan reaches speeds close to 190kph before the pursuit ended five minutes after the pursuit began as the Nissan's driver slowed down at Echuca.

The 27-year-old driver, from Alfredton, was arrested without incident and his car impounded.

He was charged with reckless conduct likely to cause serious injury, failing to stop for police, speed dangerous, exceeding the speed limit, driving an unregistered vehicle and failing to display P-plates.

He was bailed to appear at the Echuca Magistrates Court on September 29 this year.

The guys a retard, but did they really need to mention that it was a Skyline? Would they have pointed out the car if it was a 1989 Magna?

Doesn't matter whether they mention Skyline or not. It's not gonna give name bad to anything.

There were a few other news before where 2 cars which is clearly mentioned in the news as high power Commodore had a drag racing on the street ended up one of them or both getting into accident. And there were other news where they mention the car involved is a Magna on another case.

It's just news. mentioning Skyline in it is a fact, not an attempt to tarnish anything.

lol after reading this it reminds me about that non turbo thread how people were saying turbos own NA's, and the skyline happens to be a NA :P

Any car can do that speed...they never mentioned how long it took him to get there :):D

I'm not overly worried as a tool is a tool regardless of what they drive- & I agree 190? wot happened to the speed cut so it maybe the news paper sensationalising to make themselves look better- not that its eva happened b4- its normally 2day-2nite who are the clueless ones who never let the facts get in the way of a good story not murdochs own baahahahahaha

story from last night, notice they mention "Honda Prelude" but only name the Suzuki by brand. I'm guessing it comes down purely to what's mentioned on the incident report.

lol suspicion of drag racing... both in their 20's at 2:30am heading away from the city down a backroad with single and double lane sections. yathink?

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
