What have you heard?

It doesnt surprise me one little bit. there were too many nests being feathered by charging exhorbitant prices, it was only a matter of time before people realised that there was a quick buck to be made.

when you add up the cost of getting replacement stock parts and the labour to fit them, then compare the rediculous prices to get an emissions test done (its interesting that Tim Ireland has the final say here - and he says you need to fork out for a FULL $3500 ADR emissions test, before he will pass anything, and then only if he wants to). Engineers' reports cost more than 3 times what they do in other states, and once again, they can still knock it back.

No wonder, when you start paying such huge amounts of money to get a car legal, of course the opportunity is going to be too big to resist.

The shame of it all, is that they cant see that the processes in place, because they are almost impossible to comply with, create such situations.

hell all good news im of defect :D yyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy hahahahhahah lalalalalal

neways i also have had a job transfer up 2 the riverland so its ****ry bumkin time 4 me yee ha

Hey COPYME what you driving now? Question for anyone in the know.

SUBARU GX 2001 Auto with a B4 engine swap ( 2.5L Twin Turbo ) I know that brakes have to be upgraded what else needs to be done and after this does the motor have to be engineered etc Mate got defected and I think that the gates of hell have just opened on his car

My regency experience is crap as most of the others have been. My car got defected for an exhaust too loud. Got a stock system put back on to pass regency. Went in and got defected for anotehr 10 things. These included worn rear diff bushes, split brake lines, new calipers needed, twisted seatbelt, exhaust still too loud.

Went to kents engineering in adelaide and had it all inspected. Brake lines were perfect as were the rear diff bushings. These guys are pros and searched the brake lines for 30 mins and still couldnt find anything wrong with them yet regencuy insisted they were changed so i did. The twisted seatbelt is just a joke i think. took like 10 seconds to untwist it. A stock exhaust too loud on a NA r31??? so i had a second muffler fitted.

went back but this time my dad tok the car through. they didnt even put it on the hoists and it passed. he drove in grabbed the forms and drove out. It costed me a grand nearly after all the hassles and there was nothing wrong with my car.

also the girl who used to work at regency is on the pulsar forums udner regency_chick

    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
