just to add a little to what Ben has already posted,

- none of the R32, R33 or R34 range shares the same part number.

- none of the S13, S14 or S15 range shares the same part number.

- A31 cefiro is also no good.

- Z32 300ZX no good either.

- autech stagea rear cradle number is 55400 - 0V600

i also check a few of the other jap nissans, like C34, C33, A32, Y34, Y33 etc and got no joy there either.

i wouldn't completely write them off though, the part numbers could just mean minor variations and not that they won't bolt up at all

if you have time, test some different ones out and let us know :P

this is an s15 rear cradle in a rwd s2 (i'd imagine cradle mounting points would be identicle on all wc34's so should fit them all)

s15cradle.jpg

they are meant to be ~50mm narrower than auto stag rear cradles (so similar width to 260rs cradle) but i'll get a mate to do some quick meausrements at his work if he has time (import wreckers) and post up what he finds between cradles if he can. keeping in mind a narrower cradle will need shorter half shafts and prob s14/15 swaybar too

like i said earlier, this is my own research so don't take my word - look into it yourself before you go buying anything. i plan to try out the s14/15 rear cradle for myself at the end of the year

I sold a Stagea subframe to a guy wanting a wider track in a 180 (is that an S15?) so I would guess that an S15 would be no good. I suspect that any other Stagea subframe would do (pay to have a look and take a few measurements) but still vote for the weld/repair.

s15 is no good? the pic i posted up there IS an s15 subframe. the bloke you sold yours to would have needed offset bushes for the stag frame to bolt up to his s13 chassis, the same as you need when fitting an s14/15 frame into s13 (because s14/15 and wc34 have the same mounting points)

most of you would probably remember grant? here is his first hand experience of fitting an s14 subframe into his stagea http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sp...ng-t216144.html

this might help, little example first. off topic.

i have severe strut tower rust. i email a few restoration joints with pics, even went into a few, and they all said they couldn't help, but yet they deal with cars that have about 95%rust all over :P

then i took it to my stepfathers mates work shop. got him to have a look, bang gave me a set price for minor and worst case. . . and is happy to give it a crack. should be going in towards end of the month.

35yrs on the job and still going, must be doing a good job at that

he might be worth giving a ring, just to see if he would consider fixing a subframe.

thanks for everyone's help... Fortunately Chasers in West Melbourne did a great job and managed to repair the subframe on the car, saving me a whole heap of money and effort.

Car drives so much better now. Will still be fitting the new bilsteins and whiteline bushes when I get a chance though. :-)

    • Pads for R32 GTS-t, R32 GT-R non V-Spec (Sumitomo), R33 GTS-t and R34 GT-t are all interchangeable. R34 GT uses a 2x piston caliper, hence it didn't fit.
    • Checked with amayama and nope, the full S2 manual set is not available anymore. Unsurprising, but still disappointing as the ? on availability gave a glimmer of hope.
    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
