I can get a fading transformer to light up a neon made up to size to fit in there. im not sure on price but if anyone is interested ill call around and see what i can arrange.

rembering i sell REAL neon so its 50times brighter than LED's and AEPRO autobarn stuff. problem is its glass and will need some TLC to install it in there so it doesnt break. But it would be a good effect.

Well,I am not all too familiar with the sanding of the back part yet but ,I once tried it with a Dremel and it was taking the paint off with out putting a hole through it just gotta keep it a nice and easy and be sure not to push down on it because you`ll just cut right through it FUNKMONKEY THE KNIGHT RIDER LIVES HAHA

I tryed to find out about how bright neon is and no one can tell me.

the best way to describe it is that the thicker the tube the duller the light

hungry jacks is 15mm red neon i have some 9mm red neon here. and if u turn it on in darkness u can not look at the tube for too long as it hurts your eyes.

thats the best way i can tell u how bright it is. if u put a mirror or something to reflect the neon behind it it will double in brightness (rubbs my eyes from the testing i have done this morning)

HEY PPLZ!!!! i just complete the first few stages on my badge for a 33... but i'm stuck on there lighting

i have pics on where i'm up too...

but yeah the lights i went to jay car... 30cm is just too damm short!!! it either a 'S' or a 'E' i'm missing... ahehae so yeah i don't know where to get a light...

also the hole i have made to put the light in is quite small.. just enough to fit a 5mm diameter cathode tube or sumthing of that name.. and the light it produces doesn't cover the "SKYLINE" work properly its like its too thin and yeah need some help...

One resistor per LED, any good electronics store will give you what you need, like Jaycar and then hook up to the 12 Volt park light circuit (numberplate wiring is good) and all you need to do is get some plastic or thin MDF or aluminium for a backing and drill 6mm holes to mount your LED's :wizard: Hey presto

auto trust: sounds good enough.. but ill see how good i go... but yeah its goin back on to the car first 2moro.. when i get time ill get it off again.. or when i have built my led Light show...

funky: that red translucent plastic thing i got from a sign writer they didn't have any that sticks so yeah i just cut it and slipped it in.. gonna stick it down sometime soon.. but yeah its just so i get a red lighting..

You know what would look cool.

i work at a lazercutting place and operate a lasercutter. i could cut the word SKYLINE out of 3m or 2m clear perspex rectangle so its the same size as the one of the back of all 33 or 32 skylines. then you could 2pak paint the perspex or sumthing. i dunno just an idea ? i could cut the word out to say anything the number plate of a car GODZILA anything really. but its getting late and it probabaly doesnt make sence lol.

    • Okay. Final round of testing done. Got a friend to hook up a fancy scanner to the car and we also ran some compression and leakdown tests, she is healthy.  The MAF was definitely the culprit. So for future reference anyone with similar issues that find this thread. I suggest the following steps, in order of affordability:   Check your spark plugs for any fouling, replace plugs if they are bad or re adjust the gaps making it narrower (0.8mm would be good). Check every coil's resistance with a multimeter. It can be done by probing the IB and G pins on the coil pack. Resistance should be around 1.4 (+/- 0.1) Ohms Check the MAF. If you have Nissan connect or a good scanner with the 14 adapter it should allow you to see the voltage on the MAF reading should be around 1.1 - 1.2V when car is idling. But if you don't, buy a new MAF from Amazon and test, then return it. (For instance, I got a Chinese one for $40 that was reporting 1.3v on idle). If you still have scanner, you can run tests on the injectors to see if they are working, just remember to unplug the fuel pump fuse/relay and have no pressure on the line. Then listen for the noises that the injectors make. Clean/replace injectors as needed. Once you find the issue and fix, order thousands of dollars worth of OEM parts to refresh unrelated things (Optional)   PS: Thanks to the absolute legends of this forum for the responses and help to someone that went a bit over their head. • Ha ha ha, so they stopped the bearings spinning on the one you want, but then decided the crank hub should slip instead 😛   Stick to RB, at least you can work on it yourself. And now it doesn't smell of vapour   Also I still believe there's a chance your new flap doesn't "pop", as even though the engine might breath hard, it has a direct path with no restriction to the inlet, which when on boost should pull a bit of suction for you. If you do get pressure in the catch can id be very intrigued. Time to put a boost gauge on it, and a session at the track, then solid cover your vent and do another session
    • Oh nah, S55 doesn't eat bearings, just the crank hub slips lol.
    • When’s the tow ball on the 33 coming? 🙃
    • I welcome any basic question that can help haha. Yes it has 2 unis but the driveshaft is a one piece and the unis are welded without a slip yoke at each end.   What's funny is anytime I've ever had wheel vibrations it's always been in the front so I automatically assume it will lead to steering wheel shake and not chassis vibration. With that being said, I never considered looking at my rear wheel balance... I have doubts though as this wasn't an issue before I pulled the motor and trans but is still very much worth a look. I'll do that tonight after work. Thanks.
