R30 for sure :) I almost vomit looking at R33's, The worst looking skyline ever made

considering every man and his dog has one you'l have to get some airsick bags for your back pocket when you go outside then

Have opted for a Chaser to replace my daily drive but i'm still a Nismo fan through and through but Chaser's do kick ass

Dave,

I like your choice of replacement, I was going to do similar with a JZX90 (is that correct) chaser, but good ones were hard to find so I went with a 1UZ conversion to my MX83 and now I think I have the best Toyota cruiser in the country.

January 08, I did Sydney to Melbourne via Hume, Great Ocean Rd ~ Torquay to Port Campbell and back up the coast through Lakes Entrance. Covered 3920k on 176L fuel which calculates to 9.6L/100k and has power / torque to burn.

Pity you can't keep both.

I did a bit of cruising on Yahoo Auctions last night and your sedan isn't bringing money in Japan either, found some with starting figures of AU$100.00 with no bidders, so it might be a store it for a while deal and wait out the crisis the world seems to be in at the moment.

Cheers, D

OK where do i get one... I want it!!!

sexy huh??

you like???

this thing flys and is still compfy as f&ck to cruise in..

landed with a few extra goodies we didn't know about at auction..

besides the $6.5k BBS rims and HKS suspension, a kick ass top dollar exhaust, nice recaro seat and Defi guages etc.... it's got a full OS giken gear set, twin plate brass buton clutch that is a dream to use believe it or not, and, a 1.5 way mech. diff!!!

who ever had the car in Jap. new their stuff and didn't like skimpin on the $$'s

OK where do i get one... I want it!!!

Ya gunna need lots & lots of bottle tops for one of these.

I much prefer the JZX90 shape to the 100 & later.

Only problem for me it can't tow my Skylines where the V8 does it eazy.

Cheers, D

i reckon it would do the trick but i would stick with the 8 for the job.

the 1jzx has an awesomely torquey motor and the low down power is quite surprising... all about the VVTI now - nice smooth power band

so you actually have this landed and all??

pic dude!!!!

gee i wonder what randy would reckon

got the car on Friday and have put it through the it's paces... the thing flys! and the power comes on nice and smooth

I'll put some more pics up of that one soon

Randy, well i'll be dropping in there soon as all the good dyno tuners are out his way

  • 2 weeks later...

** Thread cleaned up**

Dennis, It doesnt hurt for him to try for a high price, and if you feel the need to tell someone they are asking to much, keep it to PM please.

There's no need for a keyboard war over someones asking price, no matter if you are the seller, or a prospective buyer(or just reading the thread)

Keep it to a dull roar people.

Cheers

Jason

    • What are you planning to do specifically?  I would be very surprised if you need to learn any math for these 'few builds' you have planned for the future.
    • I transferred from full time service to Army Reserve, so I still have access, work has been super keen to get me in to work in the OPS realm, so just turning up to use the gym......and ovens, isn't causing any issues, apart from me needing to keep on telling them that I won't be doing any reserve days until I get my joint in Goulburn sorted  Basically I can now work whenever I want, for how long I want now, and it's all tax free Next time we have some fires or floods you might see me covered in mud, or cutting sick in some plant equipment cleaning up, the Reserves love getting in the news, LOL
    • Final finish outcome of 80°c was typical to the pics, I've turned the oven down to 50°c and will pick them up after the gym tomorrow  The before and after difference was amazing, the wrinkle paint has covered all of the casting marks completely It did take a couple of hours to key it all and get in all of the crevices, but, for me it was time well spent for the final outcome, but I have all the time in the world to do it at the moment  Ended up with 4 coats, each sprayed at different angles to get optimal coverage and thickness As for the fixtures and intake box thingo that hasn't made it, the supplier is apparently posting the fixtures, and, are now sending a different CAI that is in stock The replacement CAI is actually better than what I originally ordered, but will require a pod filter that locates under the front bar, still serviceable, but it basically removes the whole OEM filter box and ducts into the front bar, so filter cleaning will require ramps and the removal of some front bar undertray, not a war stopper, just some ramps and an additional 10 minutes work every few months From looking at it it is made from alloy pipe from the throttle body, through the CAI hole in the rad support, then right turning under the bar, luckily the wrinkle paint was on special and I got 2 cans for $30ish, so the alloy will get the same wrinkle treatment as the intake manifold, hopefully it turns up soon, either way, the car will be getting booked in soon, if the parts aren't here, I'll just get MX5 Mania to " make it work"
    • I'm so glad base security is so high. I see they stopped some random codger from being able to just wander in off the street... 😛   PS, intake looks good!
    • So far so good, another hour and their done
