Don't know ........................... let me get them first, but there costing AU$450 + freight out of Japan.

Cheers, D

It would want to come with some very happy endings for that price!

I'd put my name up for a set if they were getting around

  • 2 weeks later...
I have some bigger flares I bought from Japan for mine; this size

If anyone is interested, Id let them go at the right price.

Steve

They look like chopped 'Type-1' ZG flares to me...

(i.e as fitted to the HS30H 240ZG)

good luck with your overly priced bits of plastic Ghost

Dave,

I thought you were intelligent, but I guess you were standing behind the door when it was being handed out eh?

As I have said before, I need to get them before I can evaluate them, but I would assume they would be of some reasonable quality, because Jenesis doesn't sell junk. And to Birth, it wouldn't matter what they were made of, but there has to be something to make a mould from and not just be GP versions that need a lot of bog & putty to smooth them so they look the part and if they are so easy to copy, how come someone hasn't done it already.

Go for it, take your shots at anything I have put up, but just keep in mind Dave, your trying to sell a car that looks like it's $200.00 for $4000.00? PRESENTATION is just about EVERYTHING and you're presenting a sh!tbox and a POVERTY PACK at that.

Cheers, D

I'm sorry ghost, i didn't mean to offend and i do appreciate you concern when it come to the sale of my 'poverty' pack... i am glad your thoughts are with me and i hope not all your judgements are based on first sight..

best of luck mate and say hi to the misses.

Hi Ghostrider; I think you misunderstood me. What I was thinking is that if you bought the original units you could copy them yourself or pay someone like a fibreglass kit place to copy them for you. You could then go on to sell them for say half the price. Depending on what they cost to copy you could probably cover the cost of the initial purchase ($450-odd) and the cost of replicating them.

Come to think about it, if all four that you are buying are the same you could buy just one ($150'ish) and have thay one copied four times making it cheaper for you. Then any more that you have copied and sold would be profit.

I don't care about how much they are costing you etc. and hope that you don't get upset. I do reckon that this is a way to get you want you want for cheaper and make similar units available to others who think that what you are doing is flash (assuming that you don't mind other people having the same kit as you!)

Hi Ben

I think you'll find that copying one flare wouldn't do

Front and rear are different to suit the bodywork plus then possibly handed right and left.

Dennis provided he doesn't mind others having similar flares has the right to charge enough to cover his outlay and time IMHO.

Exactly the plan!

Gotta start somewhere & all the flares I have seen have been grafted to suit with buckets of bog. These should be a fit up thing I'm hoping? And the R30 has a squareish rear wheel arch as opposed to the Z types that are nearly round.

Cheers, D

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
