Yo

Did my swaybars today, can I just say what a MAJOR difference the car feels to drive now, feels just like my old 350z now to drive handling wise which is a good thing :P

I've never had the pleasure of driving one, but if the V35's are anything like the 36 then they must suffer a bad case of understeer?

If you've been thinking about them but holding off I definitely think they're a worthwhile upgrade

corners that I used to have to fight the steering wheel (under under!) to get around are now taken with ease, the car feels precise and stable, where I used to make minor steering corrections mid corner/roundabout and the wavy boat feeling has disappeared.

I have noticed the car feels harsher when entering/exiting driveways and speedhumps but I'm not complaining

I wish these had arrived in time for the texikhana that just passed, no joke I would've done a whole lot better than I did on the day :)

just thought I'd share some pics, eibach lowering springs go in tomorrow!

wow....well done Yo! looks crazy man... just a quick ?. did you buy rear camber kit aswell?

hey, I was going to depending how the springs went and alignment after installing everything, thankfully they were able to get everything into spec without needing a camber kit :)

nice!!!

mind telling how much those set you back and where to order them from??

Hey mate I had to source them from the US, set me back $320 for the pair and shipping was almost as much as the bars themselves :P but money worth spending considering the end results transformed the car completely for the better

looks good , what size sway bars?

don't have a clue to be honest, they say it stiffens up the rear by 30-60% depending on the setting you choose

+10!!! haha

i've got my nismo swaybars installed as soon as i got my car! very worthwhile upgrade!

I know aye, wish they arrived sooner lol

Okay springs done today, decided to get them done by professionals, don't have the skills or the tools to tackle a spring install

big thanks to Wholesale suspension in Penrith for the install and Pat for fishing my stock springs back for me after I left :)

springs need some more time to settle so they're still due to dip a bit more

lowering looks hot too , how does it handle now?

i guess only time will tell if there's any camber wear, is anything fallible to correct this for v35/v36

yeah adjustable camber kits are available for those who are absolutely anal about tyre wear, but the shop that did my springs were able to get camber back in line at the front and about -1.4 neg. camber at the back = happy sideways times

Nice drop! I'm glad you didn't paint your wheels black like you intended to ...they look good as it is.

hehe, who said that? :) :) cheers buddy

the springs were a good choice, I tried driving around a shopping centre with notoriously high speed humps and I only scraped on one, and even then it was only the black plastic lip/splashguard under the car, this may change once the springs settle though so I'm hoping they don't drop too much more

Sup SKy,

what does WSP specialise in service?

WSP is a one stop shop for your suspension needs. They sell products but they also have a 6 hoist fitting and service area.

They build suspension parts to cater to all vehicles.

If anyone is interested in upgrades or full alignments i would suggest attending their open night on the 23rd Wednesday night 7pm

Free BBQ and lots of man talk!

Ill be there with the R33 :)

Yep pat helped me out :bunny:

I was impressed with wholesale suspension's setup, I used to drive past that place everyday to get to work but never been until now

I've toyed with the idea of spacers but I'm suss on using them even the hubcentric ones that also use their own bolts, but that's just me I guess... aren't they a defect?

don't really want to buy aftermarket rims, doesn't suit what I want from the car

cheers

cheers, the springs are eibach pro

I may still paint the wheels black, they are stained from when the dealer washed the rims after using tyre shine so there's black streaks stained into the rims that I can't wash out I'll either paint them black or shadow chrome

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
