Hi,

Have the following ugrades:

-K&N Induction

-3 1/2" catback Exhaust

-Apexi PFC D Jetro

-GT2871R Turbos

-Turbosmart Boost Controller (set to 1.2 bar)

The power is not as good as I hoped it to be. Any advice?

Have just purchased a Nismo fuel pump and 600cc Injectors hoping that'll make a difference.

Also need help tuning the PFC since am running it on the base map.

HELP!

You're going to need:

- Exhaust Gas temp gauge

- Wideband O2

- Datalogit

- Dyno time..

or pay Unigroup to tune it for around $500~$1000

Base map and upping the boost = trouble

Thanks for the tip.. Trouble is living in Africa proves to be abit of a hassle when it comes to ordering aftermarket parts. Many ppl don't ship here.

As for tuning experience, I have a tuning shop here and have produced fairly good results with evos & stis.

Had a Supra RZ just before I got the GTR and that was a breeze to extract big power out of. The GTR seems to need alot more to make serious power.

Yeah a better designed cylinder head and an extra half litre capacity will do that.

Have you done any head work?

Also, why 600cc injectors with 2871 turbos? That combo should be good for over 700hp so 600cc injectors aren't going to do it justice.

How much power did you make at 1.2 bar?

Dan.. I guess ur right about the Supra.

Haven't gotten any head work done yet. The thought of dismantling that head worries me abit.

As for the 600cc injectors, was looking for drop-in replacements by Nismo and that's the best I could get. The others were sard and tomei but needed modifications or new fuel rails which I didn't want to venture into at this time. Placed an order with greenline 2 weeks ago and still awaiting goodies to arrive.

What kind of power should I expect with the setup I plan to run? Was hoping for something in the region of 600.

The absence of dynos in this city make it difficult to makeout exact horsepower. But the fact that I manage to keep ahead of the Evos & Stis, I assume I should be in the region of 400

I hope you are talking 400kw? Standard turbos can do 400hp almost. That setup will see you to 600hp at the wheels but make sure your tune and fuel system are both up to scratch as these two items will let you down if you're not careful. 600cc injectors are a tiny bit small for the turbos so monitor your afrs closely and make sure you don't push it past their capability.

Guilt-Toy confirm what equipment I'll require for the distance tune and what you charge for it?

Was thinking of purchasing the wideband O2 sensor kit from Innovate motorsport and the pfc datalogit.

Suggestions anyone?

Make sure the wideband device you purchase is a good one, and has 0-5v afr output so we can connect it to Datalogit.

the price is about $350 usd to tune this car. if you fly me to your country I can bring everything with me. the datalogit and the wideband sensor needed to tune your car. I am in Georgia in Eastern Europe so it will not cost too much to fly you there. Maybe you can find other cars that need tuning as well and we can work something out.

I normally charge $300 - $500 usd for a tune. Remote or not.

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
