I looked in to this when i first bought my 34GT . From memory, simply put - by replacing your exhaust side cam gear with the GTT or aftermarket one, you can acheive a good power gain. Not 100% on the settings as to retard or advance it, depends on the driver's preferences really. Look forward to hearing from more people's experiences...I never went ahead with mine, still got the cam gear sitting on my desk!

They should be fine. Again, to retain your VCT, you should leave the intake cam gear untouched and replace only the exhaust side. I havn't had enough experience with them to recommend anything, but I'm sure there's someone in the N/A section who can clarify.

Tomei pon cams to suit the neo head will drop into the NA neo head. These cams are designed to retain VCT so you only put an adjustable gear on the exhaust side for tuning.

The stock cams between the turbo and na neo heads have the same duration and lift (according to tomei), so if you mean switching to "turbo cams", make sure they are aftermarket neo cams.

They'll fit but they are less aggressive than the NA cams so very little point.

Usually the reverse is done, people usually fit the NA cams into turbo motor

that is what i thought. i know that guys with turbo SR20s often put in the NA cams as a cheap, basic upgrade

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
