Mags - Motorists About Government Scrutiny - Check This Out!

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

Check out this web site:

http://www.mags2010.com

Its a site representing a south aussie who wants to run as an independant next election

to help S.A. motorists and enthusiasts, unlike what we have had so far.

Looks like a person with some guts who wants to stand in the upcoming election, i know

i'll be voting for him. It looks like he needs 90,000 votes across S.A. in order to help us out.

Awesome :D

wow looks like a 6yr old made the website in ms paint

also its all good and well running to be premier but really don't think he would beat Ranns cronies to many old people to sway

its one thing to put some fancy popular views on a website, and another thing to get on tv and be very articulate about how they are going to be delivered efficiently and effectively:thumbsup: guess well see how it pans out.

Hi,

It looks like MAGS is a bit more serious. All of a sudden their webpage is updated to something different.

Must have been a test run i'd imagine or something.

I just wanted to say that so far is S.A., we havent had anyone take the motorists point of view in order to help us enthusiasts.

I actually met the man behind MAGS, and he is deadly serious about running as an independant in 2010, rather much like Nick Xenophon did for "NO POKIES". HE IS NOT RUNNING FOR PREMIER OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.

He is running for Upper House/Legislative council as an INDEPENDANT. IF he gets 90,000 supporting votes across S.A., he will be quite a powerful person when it comes to helping the SA motorists, especially seeing that we dont have anyone helping us at the moment to have a fairer system.

I know that rather than knocking him, all i have to do is vote for him, and then as an independant, he will cerainly have the power to help SA motorists for some fairness for once. Who cares what hios website looks like, its what he is able to do for the motoring oublic that counts. This is finally soem light at the end of the tunnel.

Geez, that earlier website wasnt very nice looking, but i think the new one aint too shabby at all.

Defiantely looks more the part. Good luck to the man :( We need this type of gutsy support.

You mean this one? If yes, its still a bit average but each to their own. Good luck to him!

Why should we beg to pollies on our knees for what we need and desire? This guy should be voted in by motorists to become a pollie and that way we can get what we really need and desire as motorists. Its an easy task on the ballot paper next election, and a "No-Brainer" if you ask me.

After all, Joe Carbone is a motoring enthusiast too and has had enough himself of what is happenning in this state. If he is voted in, he DEFINATELY has POWER to change these things for the better.

for a guy who has just heard about MAGS, your pretty firmly seated on the bandwagon :)

oh well good luck to the guy, if he has the power to sway the votes of the other MP's then im all for it, you can kick and moan on tv all you want about nothing being done, but hopefully it gets carried out in parliament!

Joe Carbone is certainly not my dad, LOL.

I thought it would be good for all us car nuts to have someone trying to get into parliament to be our voice.

Is there something else us skyline lads would want for an improvement to the crappy laws currently in place?

I know id like to see a hell of a change to many laws and regs as they're pretty one sided targeting us.

interesting. what are his policies on Lesbians and abortion?

Ask the guy one day and find out. Who knows? Maybe he doesnt care about these topics as he seems to be a motorist's rep, or maybe he does :P

interesting. what are his policies on Lesbians and abortion?

Who gives a shit? As far as I'm concerned, the business of any man and woman is their own, especially in the privacy of their own bedroom - what business is it of mine, or anyone else, as to what goes on in another persons life - f**kING ZERO!.... only religious dickheads and politicians seem to give 2 shits about what others get up to, usually because they are taught to be sexually and emotionally repressed - and such folk usually get exposed eventually as being morally corrupt in either case. I love lesbians and I'm pro abortion, because as far as I'm concerned, a womans body is her own private, personal property and she can do whatever the hell she wants, AND theres enough frigging people on this planet as it is, let alone to bring another unwanted kid into this world.

If we have some dude who has the balls to step up to the plate and put a motoring enthusiasts opinion on the table, then good.

But dont for one second expect to have a niche, fundamentalist religious bullshit agenda put on his plate, or any others for that matter.

This is the 21st century, we live in a free society, and we are free to believe what we want. f**k you if you don't agree.

Back on topic - I think this man has an admirable agenda, however he needs a decent PR person and a decent web designer

-D

    • My thinking is that if the O2 sensor is shot then your entire above described experience is pure placebo.
    • Here is the mess that I made. That filler there was successful in filling dents in that area. But in the middle area. I can feel dents. And I've gone ocer it multiple times with filler. And the filler is no longer there because i accidently sanded it away. I've chased my tail on this job but this is something else lol. So I'm gonna attempt filler one more time and if it doesn't work I'll just high fill primer the door and see where the issues are because guidecoat is of no use atm.
    • Ok, so I think I sort of figured out where I went wrong. So I definitely overthinked it, and I over sanded, which is probably a large part of the problem. to fix it, I ended up tapping some spots that were likely to be high, made them low, filled them in, and I tackled small sections at a time, and it feels a lot better.    I think what confused me as well is you have the bare metal, and some spots darker and some are lighter, and when I run my finger across it, it' would feel like it's a low spot, but I think it's just a transition in different texture from metal to body filler.    When your finger's sliding on the body filler, and crosses over to the bare metal, going back and forth, it feels like it's a low spot. So I kept putting filler there and sanding, but I think it was just a transition in texture, nothing to do with the low or high spot. But the panel's feels a lot better, and I'm just going to end up priming it, and then I'll block it after with guide coat.   Ended up wasting just about all of my filler on this damn door lol
    • -10 is plenty for running to an oil cooler. When you look at oil feeds, like power steering feeds, they're much smaller, and then just a larger hose size to move volume in less pressure. No need for -12. Even on the race cars, like Duncans, and endurance cars, most of them are all running -10 and everything works perfectly fine, temps are under control, and there's no restrictions.
    • Update: O2 sensor in my downpipe turned out to be faulty when I plugged in to the Haltech software. Was getting a "open circuit" warning. Tons of carbon buildup on it, probably from when I was running rich for a while before getting it corrected. Replaced with new unit and test drove again. The shuffle still happens, albeit far less now. I am not able to replicate it as reliably and it no longer happens at the same RPM levels as before. The only time I was able to hear it was in 5th going uphill and another time in 5th where there was no noticeable incline but applying more throttle first sped it up and then cleared it. Then once in 4th when I slightly lifted the throttle going over a bump but cleared right after. My understanding is that with the O2 sensor out, the ECU relies entirely on the MAP tune and isn't able to make its small adjustments based on the sensors reading. All in all, a big improvement, though not the silver bullet. Will try validating the actuators are set up correctly, and potentially setting up shop time to tune the boost controller on closed loop rather than the open loop it is set to now. Think if it's set up on closed loop to take the O2 reading, that should deal with these last bits. Will try to update again as I go.
