They may or may not be associated with a company that used to operate in the same area. I dealt with them when I was originally looking at brining in an ECR33 S2. The company I dealt with was called Leisure Vehicles. I'm not saying this is the case so do the right thing and check them out but if it's the same operation under a different name I'd stay well clear of them. I know for a fact they were bringing in banged up cars when customers specifically requested no damage cars and fixing them in backyard panel shops. The old place used to be on Stud Road near Mountain Highway.

If this isn't then case then I know nothing about then other that they've been there a while now :)

get what you pay for.

if you have found a GTR thats cheap. pay a little bit more to get it check out by a mechanic or RACV of somthing. could be hidden horror's.

like i've heard of Banana Peals in the diff's to make them quiet.

but then again it could be a bargin you've found. post a link to someone who know's a fair bit, that ways its private and not everyone can see it.

P.S i have not dealt with this dealer.

I know someone that managed to bargain his way down from 21k to 17k for a 33GTR in Brisbane. First time I saw that car I thought it looks like a gtst with gtr kit and the condition is just shit, not to mention it runs like a dog and make weird noises. I'm not saying the one you're looking is dodgy, anything is possible and maybe you did find a bargain.

Like TJ said, if its really that cheap, it wouldnt hurt to pay a bit more to get a full proper inspection done which will probably gonna cost a few hundreds only comparing to your savings.

Just did a search on google for that dealer and founf someone bought his 35gtr here from that dealer. Maybe it pays to PM him.

Ahh thanks for the replies, I don't have my 10 posts yet so I can't PM :) aww but that's alright, the car is priced well I guess, it's very very clean the seller wants 20k on road its an r32. So its reasonable for the condition but my budget is like 18k so I hope he can drop the price for me, then again its an importer so he should be able to. Heres to hoping :mrt:

20k??? I dont suppose you're looking at this are you?

20k for a 32GTR isnt really cheap comparing to that 33GTR I mention. I think the price is reasonable (I find anywhere between 18-25k is reasonable). The way the website presents itself looks alright and if they can bring in 35GTRs, I dont suppose they can be that bad. Good luck with the negotiation.

its been cleaned up really nice.

interior, has been looked after (hand brake boot, gear boot, gear knob, steering wheel) no sign of abuse.

carpet is in good use also. from what i can see, not boost controller which is a bonus

Yeah its pretty much factory fresh, except for strut braces front and rear and new suspension. No signs of abuse anywhere on the car

honestly if i was to buy a 32 R i would be replacing the diff, clutch and exhaust, wheels and seats at a minimum, and when it gives up, the motor too so i'd be looking for one a lot cheaper than that :mrt:

srsly tho, it looks clean, but pls dont think that the 103,000 km is accurate

20k is a lot of money when compared to $200 for a full inspection

Yeah It's quite a bit, do you think that race pace would do an inspection as they are right around the corner. I don't really think that RACV would have too much of a clue about these types of cars. I would probably be leaving the car as is until i get used to it and then catch the modifying bug :mrt: Yeah I'm not too sure about the km's although it does have the timing belt sticker on the cam gear cover saying it was done at 96,000km.

im with you hamish, do diff, clutch, get the gearbox checked, get engine tested, turbo's checked. oil setup checked. and if i see a boot controller im out of there.

thats the horror with old GTR's they may of had a hard life.

i recently bought my R34...i didn't use RACV as they don't know shit about imports...i used StateRoads...really great!! they go into great detail and present a 6 page report to you! highly reccommend!!

call them and ask... I wouldn't bother with RACV... if the dealer won't let racepace inspect it walk away... quickly

what are you talking about Adz... I get bread and milk in mine... just do a couple of limiter launches on the way home :);):(

Yeah I tried to call race pace today but no answer so I sent them an e-mail, I hope I'll get a responce tomorrow. Thanks for all the input guys, I'll have to make a list of stuff to check :D

    • Is the panel filter one that is oiled? Have you ever cleaned or touched the AFM?
    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
