Gold!

Group Buy? :P

Count me in! Add underneith it "Its an import that doesnt drift"

Next cruise James and I will have a BBQ cranking and no driving on the cruise for anyone that wants to still donate but not lose a car or spend a day at regency

just won what looks like a twin plate clutch for sweet f**k all money. pick it up friday and take to acs to see if it needs a rebuild. even if it does itll work out cheaper than the clutch i was looking at.

Don't know how well you know the guys at "team twat", but they're a bunch of squids. Its these guys we've told to f**k off. No skill, no brains, no respect.

I agree. I'm not saying I'm into it myself. 'stunts, wheelies, &, Tricks"

I'm asking. Weren't some of your friends in the group tho ? or were ?

I'm saying all this because there seems to be so many saints and angels on here. Make believe ones. I don't speed and carry on myself, but we all know some people that do.

Well I finally picked up my car... but it still has issues.

They gave it back to me with a flat battery (had to be jump started from the crash repairers) after I told them at least 5 times when speaking to them during the first week to disconnect the positive battery terminal as it would go flat in less than a week. The oil catch can is still squirting oil all over the engine bay and now the HICAS light goes on and off like someone tapping morse code - and with it the car switches from 4WD to RWD and back again. Sometimes I took off in 1st in RWD, changed to 2nd and had 4WD and then was back in RWD before changing to third. I am sooooo sick of this saga!

What a f**king joke! Seriously though the catch can shouldn't be squirting oil like that, not unless you are driving like a mad man

HICAS is 4 wheel steering, totally unrelated to ATTESSA, esp since you have a hicas lock bar - are you having the hicas light come on or are you feeling the attessa kicking in and out?

I'll bring my consult cable to check out ur error codes on the weekend...

Also, do you have an oil engine return from the welch plug at the back of the head?

I don't mind watching the odd wheelie, my mates are generally a bunch of good blokes ... but team twat have no idea and are a big hazard on the road. Alot of them got themselves perished or busted up some years ago running from the cops. 3 of them died in the span of 2 weeks doing stupid things.

And no I've never associated with any of them. A handful of them tried riding with us, but we showed them the door.

No one is a saint. I've NEVER even received a parking ticket on my bikes, but that doesn't mean I don't misbehave. I pick where and when to stretch my legs and its well within my limits and the environment around me. I have Mallala should I chose the need for speed. 20 years and zero traffic violations on my bike, I'd like to think I've been picking them well. One thing I do ensure, is that I am wearing full protective gear where and when I can. Unlike the twats who think a hoodie and fashion jeans will save your neck!

:P

What's happening is what I posted - the HICAS light comes on and off, and at the same time the car switches between 4WD & RWD. I can see the car is in RWD by the torque gauge not moving but the rear end starts slipping. I imagine that it has something to do with the G sensor which was most likely damaged in the accident - way back in June 2008.

Yes the oil catch can has an oil return hose to the back of the head (I don't know what the welch plug is).

I won't be driving the GTR anywhere yet because i) I have a flat battery ii) I'm squirting oil all over the engine bay (and I was driving very sedately Luke) & iii) 335rwkW that switches at will between 4WD & RWD is not very confidence inspiring.

I'm am mega pissed off so apologies if this comes across. It is not aimed at anyone on SAU.

LOL.

Having a bit of fun with a dude I used to work with and hes getting all defensive and shit.

His older sister married the son of Drake supermarkets and over the weekend they drove one of their Lamborghini Superlarggas over from Sydney. There is pictures of it on the back of a tow truck after something happening to its gearbox. So I jump in with the $600k and still needs a tow babow comments. Now they're getting all defensive saying if my GTR was powerskidding and drifting all the way from Sydney my GTR would be f**ked too. Obviously not getting that my $20k GTR is 18 years old and is probably yet to see the back of a tow truck he still hasn't caught on.

Oh people that think they have cash are funny.

It's not normal for oil to be pissing out, the motor shouldn't be breathing that much, especially when you're not on boost. You seem to have a WHOLE new list of problems and I'm sure it's doing your head in. But have the repairs atleast been done right this time body wise?

    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
