win, wonder if its static or bagged. extra points of its static dropped.

as for the practicality thing... meh, im running pretty low with a reasonably aggressive (*waits for jarrad*) wheel and tyre combo, and the only place ive ever had trouble with rubbing on the guards (im not counting liners, theyre retarded) has been turn 1 at mallala, over 100km/h and tipping into a long right without brakes puts a lot of weight into the front left corner, solution, bought it into the sheds, hammered the tabs on the guards down, went back out and it wasnt as much of a problem. skinnier tyre would fix it completely.

... could use some rca's though, then itd be spot on.

yeah moar camber yo

Dave, are they Starcorp Impuls you're lusting after? :)

They're Work Equips.

They are alot more expensive than what you bought though Jarrad, so personally I'd be happy with what you got.

I wrote a little poem...

spare time + beers =

"Twas the night before Christmas, and all was so quiet,

The hills were so silent, not a reindeer in sight,

Till along came a skyline and made shit-loads of noise,

So much so, Santa dropped all his toys.

Children in bed, snuggled, warm and unheard,

Till the skyline popped flames down-shifting to third.

While the fat man struggled to pick up his gifts,

The GTR lost traction changing to 5th!"

haha.. thats a good one.

cmon theres a difference between practical and pussy

like people running low low suspensions that cant even handle twisties because "oh it makes my wheels rub on the guards"

maybe think of running your car half a bees dick higher and it'll be able to >do what the car was designed to do<

autosalon spec suspension = fail. twisties + cruise/daily spec suspension = win. especially in south australia, where roads are designed by orks.

here is a prime example of choosing form over function

scandy will love it tho, epic static drop

That is just retarded. Whilst some may think it looks good that garage lip was barely an inch high. We have manhole covers higher than that here. Hell even seagull droppings are higher than that!

IMO when looks>function to the point where it is inoperable = MASSIVE wank factor. A car that can't be driven is a total waste.

    • I would be surprised if that wasn't the issue. It's probably telling you, that even if you remove the plastic liner, you may have some other clearance issues that may occur too in some scenarios. IE, tyre to guard. It looks like someone has already rolled the lip, but you may still have issues in the future IE, turning and hitting a bump etc. The fact it changes how bad it makes the noise when you are going backward vs forward is highly indicative that it's the tyre rubbing. They do make a terrible sound, even if you're only pushing a project car that has a liner hanging down on a tyre!   Has the car been lowered? If it has been, what is the measurement from the centre of the wheel hub to the lip of the guard straight up?

    • Mark's a bit smarter than people give him credit... He'd convince the person that is to become dead, to drive him to the forest first. That way his car has no evidence in it, and he's free to dispose of their vehicle permanently how he sees fit too...
    • But if you had to go bury a body in the forest, would you not put that in the boot? Most of them are >=90kg these days.
    • That could easily make a horrible noise. +1 to the benefits of: a) Disclosing all relevant information when asking questions such as these, b) Actually going out and having a look at your own car, seeing as you're the one there, and we're not!
