I had intentions of going down again tonight but fell asleep watching the news and only just woke up now when the mrs called my phone!

Should be good, I can't next Saturday because of a wedding but I should be able to if you're going next Sunday

Yep, it'll probably be the sunday. Im leaning towards ardrossan simply cos I know they have tonnes of blueys up there

Three nurses were talking. The first nurse said, "I was cleaning in Dr Johnson's office the other day and do you know what I found? A bunch of pornographic magazines." "What did you do?" the other nurses asked. "Well, of course I threw them in the trash." The second nurse said, "Well, I can top that. I was in Dr Johnson's room putting away some files and I found a bunch of condoms!" "Oh my!" gasped the other nurses. "What did you do?" they asked. "I poked holes in all of them!" she replied. The third nurse fainted.

Hey Luke (and Jenkies)

You don't need to remove the front diff housing - with a couple of lever bars / big flat head screwdrivers you can pop the shaft out in no time at all........saying that well done for succeeding anyway!! Never give up I say!

Cheers,

Andrew

ahhh cheers luke and andrew.

finally at that point now.... all ive got left is the front drive shaft , front half shafts and the bellhousing bolts right at the top(any hints??) ive removed heater hoses from back of engine but it still seems nearly impossible... all this is so much ahrder than putting an rb20 into a vl hahhaha but soooo close. even picked up an engine crane tonight.

since going over the car pulling it appart ive found 2 loose idler pulleys that havnt been locked, injector clips that havnt been fastened propperly and my front turbo feels loose on the manifold...... man im glad ill be reassembling everything myself.... have alot more faith in taking 4 times as long and doing it properly myself

One more before bed ...

Pierre, a brave French fighter pilot, takes his girlfriend, Marie, out for a

pleasant little picnic by the River Seine. It's a beautiful day and love is

in the air. Marie leans over to Pierre and says: "Pierre, kiss me!"

Our hero grabs a bottle of Merlot and splashes it on Marie's lips. "What

are you doing, Pierre?", says the startled Marie. "I am Pierre the fighter

pilot! When I have red meat, I have red wine!" She smiles and they start

kissing.

When things began to heat up a little, Marie says, "Pierre, kiss me lower."

Our hero tears her blouse open, grabs a bottle of Chardonnay and starts

pouring it all over her breasts.

"Pierre! What are you doing?", asks the bewildered Marie. "I am Pierre the

fighter pilot! When I have white meat, I have white wine!" They resume

their passionate interlude and things really steam up.

Marie leans close to his ear and whispers, "Pierre, kiss me lower!"

Our hero rips off her underwear, grabs a bottle of Cognac and pours it in

her lap. He then strikes a match and lights it on fire. Marie shrieks and

dives into the river. Standing waist deep, Marie throws her arms up and

screams furiously, "PIERRE, WHAT IN THE HELL DO YOU THINK

YOU'RE DOING?"

Our hero stands up, defiantly, and says, "I am Pierre, the fighter pilot!

If I go down, I go down in flames!"

ahhh cheers luke and andrew.

Hey mate, to get to the top 2 bolts u need to undo the gearbox subframe, so the gearbox is hanging, raise the car up alittle then u will need roughly a metre long extension on a rattle gun to reach the top two. Make sure all the speed sensors and connectors are undone.

Luke

Just random thnig that f**ked me of tonight, got pulled over by the popo and after taking a look at my car not noticing the carbon bonnet or the car being too low the cop tells me i have an illegal liscence plate holder on my rear bumper  ??? I asked wtf becoz clearly its just the stock r34 liscence plate thing where its meant to be but nup the officer continues to persist in telling me its illegal and that i should get a defect, and after about 30 mins of arguing he tells me to rev the engine and says im getting a defect ;) for an apparent bov that doesnt exist! But yet no mention for anythin else didnt chek rims, height, exhaust or anythin.

Things like this just shit me of! And worse is the whole time i was bein nice as i could with the 2 dudes wasnt givin em attitude or anythin hoping they would let me go!!!!!!

No BOV, but you must of had a pod filter making the whoosh whoosh noise or a blocked BOV making some sututututu therefore making the cop think its a BOV of some sort.... heard of that happening before and witness one with the latter.

I'd take 1 point over public transport/push bike any time of the day

@Ben - A couple of the guys that work for me were at Ardrossan last week and said there weren't many crabs around and then most were undersize. They reckon they had a better chance catching crabs in the local pub, next to the jetty/caravan park!

I was at ardrossan 2 weeks ago and we pulled up around 100 crabs, but most of them were undersize. Out of all of them, 6 were legal, and only barely. We were scooping 2-3 crabs up per retrieval of the nets... maybe I should try the moonta bay colony instead... there certainly were tonnes of crabs at ardrossan but not big ones. I was using redbait too (not supposed to but I didnt have any squid handy)

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
