ive checked all 16 pages of the diy thread..... how do i remove all the hicas pumps in engine bay correctly and how do i remove the abs?? anyone now of a step by step information page?

Jenkies u will need a non abs brake master cylinder and possibly some new lines made.

And Jake I'm not a mechanic I just know some car info lol

aww man thanks... nothing is ever perfectly easy is it :)

see my gtr for an example :) i dont regret not having abs, it hardly ever locks and when it does its pretty easy to ease off and get it gripping.

mine is the opposite.. i find it pritty easy to lock all 4s up with ABS, but that might have something to do with tyres XD

you bloody legend! ive never ever had the abs actually work on me which means my pedal control must be decent.. need the space to mount a catch can so i can leave battery in bonnet! thanks again chad

Anyone know how to replace wheel bearings? or a link to how to do it...

you'll need a press as they are pressed into the hubs, And if they are anything like the S-Series they are like $90 each for the bearings.

He can just split the front and rear lines and then put a biasing valve on the rear line. regency will be happier with a factory non abs setup though. although he'll have bigger problems if regency ever look at the car.

what tyres you got? i got cheapish tyres (nankangs) but mine are 275s all round so that probably helps me a fair bit.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
