sweet

i hope we dont have to resort to voting for any given party to get this done, but i fear we'll have to considering the vilification that mr rann and co has levelled upon us enthusiasts

i have no love for the liberal party, but imho this time around theyre the least of all evils

as paraphrased in the rann/hitler clip released last week 'the opposition leader got tasered to show how pissweak mike rann is'... ahh i laughed heartily at that

Doh. That would help wouldn't it.........

I work at Camperagent. The big caravan yard on Port Wakefield Road, Parafield Gardens.

It's about a kay past Globe Derby trotting track on the RH side when you are heading out.

Next to Jamieson Trucks & Selecta homes.

I have had a few people ask me if they could check out the GTR & I never seem to get time.

I thought this would be a good chance for anyone who wants to have a good look over an R35

without a salesman breathing down their neck (unless you are in the market for a good used caravan!!)

Cheers.

Yep, bring on the drags.......... it has been much too long.

A lot of people in the scene now would not have even been to a proper

drag racing meet in Adelaide. It is great fun & you dont get impounded!

whats everyone up to tomoz?

Oh, so that's why there were lights everywhere in Summertown.

Cruised through there by myself this evening around 10, and saw a fire truck..and thought 'where the hell is the fire'

Poor bloke.

Direct quote from the news clipping published less than an hour ago:

Opposition sport and recreation spokesman Terry Stephens said the land would be made available to the consortium for a commercial price if the Liberals were elected.

I was gonna go on the cruise but not in 40 degree heat! Im gonna be at home with my bbq and my beer!

Also I work in the City Dismantlers complex and Bill is not short of money or support, we will get this Drag/Race track one day...

Just hope its not too far away. Also while its LMC's land they wont give it up easy. I was affected by LMC with the whole Pt Adelaide crap where all the boat yards USED TO BE on Jenkins St. I used to live in one of them, I know how heartless they are...

Anywho, should be a good cruise regardless if Im not there!!!

Oops........ I should have read the motorplex thread before posting.

Go on that cruise if you can, it is definately a worthy cause. WE NEED DRAGS!

I cant go, will be stuck at work till 3pm. Spewin, havent been on a good cruise for ages.

Sorry about that Sled.

That cruise just went past my house. I'm guessing it was just the far south meet up going throught morphett vale. So many cars and bikes! Made a great sound going past, got me running out of bed to see them.

Needless to say, some of the people around me wasn't as happy about it as I was.

Wish I had a car to go on the cruise with. Should have regod the drift car for it.

Just came back from the TTP meet point and a short part of the cruise. Unfortunately I couldn't go the whole way as I had other plans but thought I would show my support.

Should be an awesome turnout at the final meet point!!

Just spent my 45 minute lunch break standing next to my car on king william street watching this cruise go past, i had to go back inside and cars were still going past..... it is hands down the biggest cruise i have ever seen in adelaide... This is a great show of support and since i could not attend i thank all of you who did. :D

    • They are under bucket shims. Tomei provides a test shim kit and then any measurement of shim required.
    • I always wondered how you were supposed to buy a set of 24 buckets and somehow magically have every single one of them yield exactly the desired clearance. I would have thought you'd need to assemble a cam with either 12 "sample" or "example" buckets of known top thickness (or a single such sample/example 12 times over!!) measure clearances at every valve, and then do the usual math to work out what the actual "shimness" of each bucket needed to be, before buying the required buckets to make up he thicknesses that you didn't have on hand.
    • I now seem to be limited in power due to my rev limit/hydraulic lifters in my built RB25. I'm looking into converting over to Tomei solid lifters. Question for anyone that has done the conversion. I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  I don't know where I got this idea, as so far I see no mention of this in any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must be missing something?
