Then please enlighten me what the exact correct way to read 'Pain is an illusion of the body'. And I understand about electrical signals being sent to the brain and interpreted as pain and how these signals can misfire after trauma to the body.

Precisely, and the painkillers stop the brain from recieving those signals - there are people out there with low pain tolerance and others with high pain tolerance, and they are physically the same - neurologists will confirm that some people can ignore pain thru meditation and other training, which is what the quote is pertaining to - Meditation and Wellbeing.

Take some more morpheine if it helps, have a wank if it doesnt...

looking at ordering an intercooler and ive heard that a smaller one will give me better response, say a 450 x 300 x 76 rather than the standard 600 x 300 x 76

is this true? im not looking at making any more than about 200rwkw....

the R34 smic is good enough to flow around the 200 kw mark....you wont be able to squeeze much more then 200 on a stock turbo with a stock motor.....but you will get the power bug and will be modding endlessly lol....so just get a good 600x300x80 core.....you wont notice the response difference

I've found I have a high pain threshold ... but also practice "mokuso" which is a form of Japanese meditation. I very rarely ever use painkillers. Never had headaches/migrains. I was on a prescription of Oxynorm (morphine in a pill) when I broke my shoulder in a bike crash, but thats it. I flew to Sydney and drove my Stagea back 3 weeks after breaking my shoulder ... most people thought I was mad.

But if I have a cold however, I'm the biggest sook there is :D

if the wiring is still there and its not that flash hot looking (im assuming you use the car off road, by the pic) so the casing of the wiring may be cracked/brittle in a spot and broken, earthing out somewhere onto the body? just check you continuty of all the wiring first?

you might say theve been around more than an elizabethian :D o if only there was some sort of professional career for people that tell jokes id be rich

dan if people paid u for ur jokes they'd all be asking for refunds

FYI I got up on the same side of my bed as I always do, but my body does ache more today than... yesterday. I have heard similar comments from doctors and counsellors for years and I have often asked them what real physical pain have they experienced and how long did it last for. If the duration is less than 2 years they don't know shit. If the duration is approaching 5 years then they have a clue. If the duration is greater than 10 years then they might actually know. Mine has been 15 years now and still counting. I believe Tangles would know where I am coming from.

Both response ignore the issue of time which was my main point. You can't meditate for 24 hours a day let alone continuously for a decade.

nah benji, we moved the relays into the cabin after shitting one with mud last year. all was working fine while i had the rack and everything (power and triggers were looped from this main switch so that i couldnt just flip the roof ones on without the bullbar ones coming on). all i did was disconnect the others, and it still worked. moved the wires one by one off their terminals (one off, one on, same again) to move the switch up one row in my dash. now it doesnt work. had a chat to nige about it, might get and check with the multimeter whats going on........its frustrating me cos they worked fine until i touched them

yes mate I hear you, decided to bite my tongue tho. the statement dohmar made might sound good but in fact doesnt help anyone

66% of my life spent in "pain", I can assure you it is very real.

Constant never ending pain over the years becomes unbearable, but you have to take it

all morphine/pain-killers do is raise your perceived pain threshold a little. thankfully my threshold is high, but its never ending mindnumbing - its just 'there'

    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
