this is cos iphones are fkn gay, its not optus.... i know cos i have had one for 2 years and cant wait to replace the bastard.

Thank f**k someone else takes my side on this argument. If it weren't for Apple fanatical (read: retarded mindless sheep) consumers and its admittedly clever and well used marketing hype; it wouldn't have gotten such a cult following. I know I've just opened a whole can of worms and expect replies contrary to this but oh wells.

I'm only interested in the iPhone for it's ease of internet browsing. Other than that the phone is pretty useless, some apps are alright, below par hardware is a disappointment which is why I refuse to buy one.

I'm hanging out for the HTC EVO. First day buy as soon as it is released!

dont get me wrong, its a nice toy, but it fails massivly at things it supposed to be made for.... no flash ffs, that renders an ass load of web sites useless.

the app store, and apples inflexibility with pretty much everything renders a great idea gay.

cant wait to get a phone that runs on android or windows mobile and is not a locked down POS. (even tho i have had it jailbroken since day one)

/my opinion.. everyone is entitled to their own

...and bluetooth, etc...

I've said my piece now :D

Carry on everyone :)

+1 to all of the above

not sure why people need smartphones. have a simple little k850i here that does everything I need, including email, web and java apps

even tethers a laptop to nextG broadband which is very handy

apple suck with their closed source/proprietary view... back in the day they were seen as being the good guy and microsoft the bad guy - how times are changing

yep that sucker will run android, and have the snapdragon processor...

android makes the apple OS use and functionality seem really clunky and slow

OATH!

They bitch and moan if someone takes the piss outta them, yet they have their "I'm a PC" ads, constantly take the piss outta MS (which shows me they are insecure) and MS just cops it on their chin. Sure MS isn't some squeaky clean company but atleast they can have a laugh at themselves

The only thing's I dont like about the iPhone is, reception dramas in multistorey buildings or hilly terrain, and the battery could be a bit beefier. Other than that its f**king brilliant in my book. Im not a hardcore computer nerd or anything though - I kick my PC when it doesnt work :D

lol, im a mad computer fixerer, just ask my old printer, that f**ker learnt how to fly,

well..when i say fly i mean, fall very fast onto the driveway outside..

f**king :D

You're good at fixing RB20's too :)

    • I see what you mean on that last paragraph and makes sense. I am leaning towards because I made the repair/filler area large that I didn't use a long enough block. Will minimise the area and let you's know how I go. This is random but I noticed when I put epoxy primer it felt flat but that's just temporary.
    • Tried to repair with filler only. The block is a foam block but quite hard and I put a velcro on it for sandpaper, the hook and loop system. It's not one of those super soft ones that just follow the panel. Similar to a dura block.
    • You need one of those automated sprays that puffs a nice small every 15 minutes in their room. Except swap the nice smell for chloroform...
    • Don't step down power supply size, maintain it the whole way. It's how I'd do it. OR, Id have one feed, with one joint that splits out to six smaller gauge wires that go to each coil. I wouldn't add joins like stepping from 12 to 16, at the first two coils, as if you try to continue that fashion, each joint will introduce a voltage drop. In theory, earths should be the same size as power feeds, however in this case the main power needs to be bigger due to the average size current. So the next question is, how much current do these coils actually need?
    • I think Murray is onto it. It's sounding like either it's a soft block, not long enough block, OR if you're chasing waves, you're going in the direction of the waves, instead of across them. Rotate your sanding pattern by 45 degrees is something to try. You said you're going in an X, so now instead, from the same perspective, do a "t" instead.   If you're not able to have the block sit on top of two high points, and not touch the low point between them, you'll never get it flat.
