lol Cheers guys,

Its sure is coming along slowly. Basically once my mate has done all the welding its time to get it rolling for Lance walker to make up a sick roll cage for it, then onto paint.

Main parts now is coilovers, brakes and dog box, then possibly a cf tailshaft, billet driveshafts, then focus on interior.

Interior shouldnt be too hard..

Driver Seat, steering wheel, speedo, rev gauge, and a seat for the chicks to sit on..must be reclineable. :)

knowing our luke he'll find some way to have some hydraulic hidden double waterbed with the optional back massager built in to the boot and rear seating compartment. you wont be able to see it, till he presses his james bond button, and then the sheepskin upholstery and dom perignon will pop up out of nowhere (and there will be an xxl size edible cherry condom located in the ashtray incase out hero finds himself in a spot of bother...(

think i may have just found my half sister on FB :D shes a mutual friend of my cousins on that side of the family

which in turn will lead me to my old man which i havent seen in 20 years....

not sure if i add her and see what happens or leave it......

yeah, i dunno man.....

doesnt really seem like he has made an effort, last time he seen me was when i was 3.

how could ya do that?

if me and my missus broke up, theres no f**king way i could never see my son again, not even for a week!

let alone 20 years....

some things may be better left unchanged.

do it mate

family IS important no matter what.

As someone who's basically had nothing to do with their family in over a decade, I disagree. They've made no real effort to keep in touch since my parents kicked me out, why would I bother trying to keep in touch with them.

My friends are my family, and they've stuck with me more than any of my 'real' family has.

I'm in the same boat mate, except 21 years :ninja:

My thoughts on it are on par with most of what you've written ^

Some of you need to get off the high horse that you rode in on, people have extenuating circumstance's in there live's all the time. I cant speak for your dad craig but coming from 2 similar situation's it's easier to do than you think. My first child i wasn't apart of his life because the mother had an altermatem put on her by her parents its either us or him, you stick with him and we wont help you she stuck with them because i was only 17 and was very immature.

2nd child yas about 4 years after the first we were together 4yrs in total 2 childless and 2 with my son after things fell apart my best mate ran off with her which i took pretty hard hit the bottle big time and hit drugs just as hard for many years i hated them both and wished i would meet him on a bus so i could smash his face in through all this drinking and anger i didn't look for a relationship with my son to which i deeply regret. So here is the question do i not deserve the chance to get to know him or do i deserve all his friends telling him your old man is an effed up looser dont have any thing to do with him?

Iv.e been sober ever 10 year's now and been a contributing member of society, i have had the chance to meet him in court when he asked to change from a hyphened last name to a last name that matches the rest of the family, through that i send christmas money and cards to his grandparents and asked for his mum's mobile number oh he was 15 when i met him and my first son was 14 when i met him, he has since turned 18 to which me and Jema stayed at there house for a week and took him to sydney and stuff, in my personal opinion make the decision your self dont take the advice of e-friends

This has not been reread or corrected for gramma just straight from my heart to you

i see what your sayin man, i really do..

but my mum hasnt ever tryed to stop him finding me, our number has always been in the phone book

and his new wife is still in touch with my aunty, and i still have his last name!!

he has had plenty of avenues to get in touch with me, theres obviously a reason why he

hasnt that im not aware of, so ill leave it at that...

i have my own little family to worry about now.

He may be at a point where he is too embaressed to contact you Craig,

Just do it man - You don't have to be 'happy family' with him - but atleast you will have no regrets in formally meeting your blood father. Imo you got nothing to loose and everything to gain in just 'meeting him'. Like I said, you don't need to be happy family but atleast give it a go.

Steve, I see what you are saying and I feel for you, but my case has nothing in common with yours. Im happy to discuss details with you in private if you like but it sure as hell wont be posted on a public forum. Saying get of your high horse is a bit innappropriate for such a sensitive matter.

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
