yeh his mate bought a 31 and put mikes old engine (fully built rb20det) in it running a 3540 making 320rwkw..

there just starting a rb30 r31 with a to4z!

and they also turbo'd a cherade until it pushed a rod through the block haha!

Dude you should see the thing! It runs NOS until the turbo FINALLY spools up at like 20psi

All the big single turbo drag cars get on the gas while sitting on the t/brake to get the massive turbines to start making boost, its mad listening to it, especially when it hits the 2step + nos + t/brake is very very cool lol bangbangbangbang *slicks rip* lol. best sound ever is hearing some massive slicks rip as they grab traction

is it easier to remove and engine with or without the gearbox attached?

need to put a oil drain in the rear of the head.. and cant do it with the engine in..

anyone wanna help?

When i had my turbo installed, the mechanic put the oil feed line to the back of the head/block somewhere. He had to move the gearbox back a bit, and then tilted the engine, not too sure how he did it, but that's what he told me.

If anyone needs, Ive got a account set up on Yahoo Auctions Japan for buying parts. If you have have found something on there that needs bidding let me know.

Luke :)

Ooo ... that could be dangerous!

Hide my credit cards

i knnow fitting restictors and doing internal mods but shaun said not to worry unless your rebuilding..

i have mines cam baffles and 26 covers which will help..

all built engines i have read in the FI have had this mod done!

    • I would be surprised if that wasn't the issue. It's probably telling you, that even if you remove the plastic liner, you may have some other clearance issues that may occur too in some scenarios. IE, tyre to guard. It looks like someone has already rolled the lip, but you may still have issues in the future IE, turning and hitting a bump etc. The fact it changes how bad it makes the noise when you are going backward vs forward is highly indicative that it's the tyre rubbing. They do make a terrible sound, even if you're only pushing a project car that has a liner hanging down on a tyre!   Has the car been lowered? If it has been, what is the measurement from the centre of the wheel hub to the lip of the guard straight up?

    • Mark's a bit smarter than people give him credit... He'd convince the person that is to become dead, to drive him to the forest first. That way his car has no evidence in it, and he's free to dispose of their vehicle permanently how he sees fit too...
    • But if you had to go bury a body in the forest, would you not put that in the boot? Most of them are >=90kg these days.
    • That could easily make a horrible noise. +1 to the benefits of: a) Disclosing all relevant information when asking questions such as these, b) Actually going out and having a look at your own car, seeing as you're the one there, and we're not!
