i was more so gonna do it for a convenience thing, like wheel aligns, tunes, to and from track etc etc.

Just waved goodbye to my 20 gearbox, the dude that picked it up rocked up in something Ive never seen or heard of. a 1984 C32 Laurel. VG20 single turbo. What an old school cruiser! Much want.

You've never heard of a Laurel? :P

well after a long chat with paul today,

my engine is nearly done! paul is chucking some extra bits in the head to make it a tad nicer :P

he is also hitting me up with some red r racing stickers and a coilpack cover with RRR019 etched into it...

he said all his engines will be stamped with RRR###

hes so mad! cant wait!

Wow! .. just wow.

Spent the last hour or so applying the 'glassylite' treatment on my R34 headlights. The drivers-side headlight was pretty much okay (no yellowing or discoloration), but passenger-side was starting to yellow again. I'd previously tried using various products on the passenger-side headlight and it would look pretty good for maybe 3-6 months but still eventually start yellowing again.

This glassylite product has brought them up way better than the other products - they're amazingly clear now. I'm also hoping the final application - a UV sealant - actually works like they claim, and prevents the yellowing happening again. I guess time will tell whether it actually works, but given what I've seen tonight, I'm stoked.

Gawd, I sound like an advertisement. RubyRS4 - this is the product I mentioned I was gonna try on my headlights after seeing yours. I reckon for the price ($35 odd including p&h) it's worth giving it a shot. I got it from their website, but it also often pops up on eBay. Anyways... lol .. I'm gonna shut up now :)

When is it acceptable to start adding female work collegues on FB? :)

add them now.

Get digital before you get physical.

Adding them on facebook, not only shows off your detective skills, but shows that you are confident. Ladies can smell fear. Much like bears that smell the menstruation... :)

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
