That's what I thought.

Only problem was, I was torn between straight through or muffled haha.

Went muffled just to be safe, but couldn't fault the price Simon was offering so I bought up even though I haven't found a car (or have I :bunny: )

shit damo sorry to hear about the loss..

its just crazy how u may not know how another person is feeling about life/themselves! then next thing u know there gone!

whether it was caused due to depression etc, i think people totally underestimate it!

wayne, whats typical? and worst timing?

Yeah it was Tom, you came out riding with us when he was there. Was a happy guy and I never wouldve thought he was suffering so bad.

sorry to hear damo, condolences to his friends and family.

ever so sad when people take the permanent solution to a temporary problem
and steve hit the nail on the head, perminate solution to a temperary problem. heart breaking

pretty easy thing to say, but when your brain is so addled you barely know who you are and cant feel you can trust anyone, your perception of the problem and the possible solutions get pretty f**ked up.

well not typical, more meant typical in the motor updates which is awesome... but just bad timing just before damo posted about his loss and then this 'WOOOOOO'

anyways,

i've had someone lost from committing suicide, ask yourself when they were here if there was something you could have done different to prevent this but you can't do that.

OMG! im speechless! he was sooo kind and generous! dont find many ppl like him around!

I am by no means trying to say I know how they could feel, but from the outside looking in its heart breaking to see them resort to this.

Sorry to hear that damo. was 2 years ago last saturday that my sisters best friend (who was like family to us- lived next door to us for 25 years) decided to kill herself too. not a day goes by when I don't think about her. Always comes as a surprise, esp when they seem to be the life of the party.

-D

Even when I think life is to hard and I dont want to be around anymore, I remember that I wont always feel that way and what it would do to my family and friends, im just not that selfish. Terrible that some people convince themselfs that everyone is better of without them...if thats what happens.

I know sometimes I think of escape but I wouldnt ever think that my family would be better off and I would never actually take my own life. Guess thats how messed up your mind can get.

Very very sad that these peoples thought patterns cant be fixed before it goes to far. My ex BFs best friend hung himself and he was newly married and just had a kid. Poor family. In his own lounge room. Seriosly. So cruel.

Anyway on a lighter note...

I took my WRX to Wilall racing on Saturday and get a checkup. My rex is 100% healthy and the hesitation is a fuel switchover thing.

Getting new tires tonight and heading to Mallala on Sunday!!

I got a nice look at the GTR and the lambo while I was there. Pretty much sex. That is all.

gah you tell me this now at 9pm! come to the exec meeting tomorrow night and give it to me. :D

well you can come and pick it up tonight if you want mate

Just found out a mate committed suicide yesterday, wow. Did not see it coming at all, was always a great bloke. RIP Tom!

sorry to hear off that Damo......RIP.....

    • This is how I last did this when I had a master cylinder fail and introduce air. Bleed before first stage, go oh shit through first stage, bleed at end of first stage, go oh shit through second stage, bleed at end of second stage, go oh shit through third stage, bleed at end of third stage, go oh shit through fourth stage, bleed at lunch, go oh shit through fifth stage, bleed at end of fifth stage, go oh shit through sixth stage....you get the idea. It did come good in the end. My Topdon scan tool can bleed the HY51 and V37, but it doesn't have a consult connector and I don't have an R34 to check that on. I think finding a tool in an Australian workshop other than Nissan that can bleed an R34 will be like rocking horse poo. No way will a generic ODB tool do it.
    • Hmm. Perhaps not the same engineers. The OE Nissan engineers did not forsee a future with spacers pushing the tie rod force application further away from the steering arm and creating that torque. The failures are happening since the advent of those things, and some 30 years after they designed the uprights. So latent casting deficiencies, 30+ yrs of wear and tear, + unexpected usage could quite easily = unforeseen failure. Meanwhile, the engineers who are designing the billet CNC or fabricated uprights are also designing, for the same parts makers, the correction tie rod ends. And they are designing and building these with motorsport (or, at the very least, the meth addled antics of drifters) in mind. So I would hope (in fact, I would expect) that their design work included the offset of that steering force. Doesn't mean that it is not totally valid to ask the question of them, before committing $$.
    • The downside of this is when you try to track the car, as soon as you hit ABS you get introduced to a unbled system. I want to avoid this. I do not want to bleed/flush/jack up the car twice just to bleed the f**kin car.
    • But again, the engineers said your cast aluminium would be fine based on the load that would be stretching that section. Same load stretching the bolts in a flex (not the twist), with a much smaller cross sectional area than the original part you've broken. It's why you'd need to be using higher strength bolts, but that's just making up for the strength you lose with less area...
