I am glad able to finalie able give something back to forum and kr4gtr for all help in forum.

I am graphic designer profession with 9 yr experiencce here in Kuala Lumpur. I look at both photos and 1 has no doubt been edited.

Going by file size and texture and file history it is clear file which been edited is the one above from GTR32 post. It larger in file size due to more layer added and to not loose original quality of graphic.

If GTR32 did not that edit file it may be seller who do it to try "pull wool over eyes" when asked by kr4gtr why 2 shade in picture?

To show possible to fix tone in picture i will attempt reproduction and post results. Will not take long.

If that's the case then I apologise as I have been taken for a ride also.

However, my original point of posting up extremely negative and abusive reports about individuals for no apparent reason - other than when you checked out their car with a view to buying it didn't go your way - still stands.

I said i would not say anything more about that particular car, i've wasted enough time on it so im not even going to bother trying to fight anything here.

I created this thread to document my experience, not for ongoing accusations.

I am more than happy for the mods to publicly post IP addresses of the two users which you believe are also me - and match them with my IP address (Im pretty sure invision boards do automatic IP logging?) and this will confirm that its not me.

As for photoshop, f**ked if i would know how to do something like that, i have the software, but i dont have the skills or the knowledge.

I'm going to take my search offline now - i think its time this thread is closed as its unfortunately not working out as i originally hoped.

There will be no further updates from myself, im going outside to kick a ball or something.

Hey Chris,

I am quite sure that there are a number of followers on this Tread.

Please keep them coming as we all are still very interested in your GTR Searching Quest ...

Come on people ... Please let's ALL Move on towards the GTR Searching Quest ...

Chris has been a very excellent Host of this tread sharing all the information and personal experience.

I believe we all should encourage him and get to share his Pride and Joy when he finally Found 'The One'!

May Everyone out there reading this Tread post something if you this Chris should continue with this Tread?

+1

Yes from me aswell :(

New to the import scene (looking at ordering one and interested in the procedure) and I dont usually get involved in forums due to what we see has sparked upon us, but taking a wholly neutral viewpoint here and providing my two cents because i do enjoy this thread and hope for it to continue. Examining KR4-GTR's original post about that car, i dont think it was at all extremely negative or abusive as you state. He stated "my experience" and was incredibly light on the details of the actual car as he did not want to destroy the chances of it selling, however wanted to document his personal experience as per this threads significance. If a seller yelled on the phone towards a prospective customer, then i'd actually appreciate this feedback and I'd support him in saying that they truthfully are a c*nt because you just don't do this when selling any car, its dishonorable and superfluous. It is only personal feedback, and it wouldn't stop me from viewing a car if it actually interested me. Again after what I have read it was documented as a personal experience. Despite, the chances of who will actually buy that car probably will never even see this thread. This threads tucked away with tens of thousands of other threads. I think that if anything, you have over reacted and just killed what was once a rare gem of a thread with your wild indictments that everyone had already moved on from days ago. I also disagree the statement above that there is nothing wrong with photoshopping pictures of the car you are selling. They are okay for magazines and such but when it comes to selling a car, it can be misleading and prove substandard when you reach the destination only to find something completely different. I do hope this thread continues, regardless. Thomas.

Like Thomas, I am new to the forum and looking to import as well. KR4-GTR has done a good job with the thread so far in relation to importing.

I got interested in the photoshopping issue and ran a simple search though google and found a program called "jpegsnoop" (try it!) that can determine if a photo has been altered before.

A quick run of the two pictures through the program and it seems that the photo GTR-32 obtained from the seller is original and KR4-GTR's has been altered.

Just my 2 cents as the results differ from suprasearching's.

However, we should just move on and let KR4-GTR continue with his thread and focus on getting our dream cars from JAPAN!

BTW Happy new year!

1) i dont want to directly impact the chances of anyone selling their car, so i'll have to stay very light on the details with this one. anyway, my personal experience - this guy constantly lied through his teeth about the car just to get me to fly over to melbourne, and then turned into a complete 2 faced immature and arrogant c*nt when i told him politely that im not going to go through with buying it (even though i never actually made any promises to start with!) on a side note, it would be perfect if you're after a car which is 2 completely different shades of blue - front / back.

Thomas, you're right. Reading that original post it was an utterly professional way to conduct yourself from the bloke who has been shown to lie and records phone calls with vendors, previously banned under another username.

I strongly encourage any one interested to run [right click and save as] the photo on this post:

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=5007397

Through this program:

http://download.cnet.com/JPEGsnoop/3000-12...4-10920311.html

It will give you a detailed and clear report on the picture markers indicating editing and the program used to do it.

It's only fair that anyone considering this car does that to this extremely misleading picture.

I have to say, whoever did it was good with photoshop, nearly as good as whoever added the rims and clear indicators this picture:

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Pi...59#entry4745959 :/

I did not make mistake i have reexaminte images and file rename and you right quality reduction to jpeg conversion has been done on file GTR 5 with photoeshop. It normal done for bitmap photo convert for email for internet upload. however offset length decode sos confirm no other edit to him.

It appear file NSJJJJJSSS converted with windows or similar from bmp to jpeg hence loose EXIF data and no camera match if you run through JPEGsnoop it should indicate uncertain if original. This will confirm for u.

Bullshit. It says the original image is exactly the same size as this one, taken two weeks prior. It says that the editing took place minutes before being posted by KR4. The program then goes on to advise on many other editing marks (chrominance, luminance, lino use, etc).

+1 for me too. but we need to stop chatting about this car.

There seems to be a few guys chasing R34 GTR's and this thread has got alot of information.

maybe a mod can clean this thread up and we can get back on topic.

Okay, as per my last post – I was just going to let this all go, but lets clarify a few things here.

Bottom line - Matt (GT-R32) is stll just depressed that i didn’t buy his car 3 years ago. It just proves a point that as per this thread, he just doesnt know how / when to let things go and he is the type of character that would just sit at home all day and search the internet for conflict. Even though he PM’d me months ago, and tried to put it all behind us – its obviously something that he is unable to do.

He would have had to search through 1000+ posts to try and find the slightest thing that links me to photoshop, and seriously to go to that manner of effort, it kind of freaks me out a lot. Like seriously, thats serial killer stalker type shit at its finiest.

350z was a shared account with a few 'friends' (which by the way - were idiots and i no longer hang out with) and I have already spoken to the mods about it, hence why im actually here now participating. You're not a mod - so stop pretending that you are. Again, bringing up the past and proving that you just cant let things go.

I still have to state the fact that all i did was post one an image that was sent to be along with a bucket load of others. For all I know, the seller photoshopped them all and sent them to me before he got them all done professionally. Realistically, I dont care. If he did - he got me, and ive moved on. In the scheme of things, its just one car and its an experience I was and still am ready to disregard and not dwell on.

In regards to me and photoshop, I can do small things. Who cant? However just to prove a point heres a few other pics of the same car you advised that I photoshopped rims and clear indicators on. It isnt even my car, it was on another forum up for sale with a blown bottom end. Its the same colour as my old GTR and from memory it was exactly what I wanted my car to look like, apart from it being a bit to high. So yes, I did use photoshop just to simply pull the wheels on it up to make it a bit lower. I can do simple things, blend images, put put wheels on cars - etc, and importantly yes - i can reduce file size so they are postable on forums (in this case - from memory - as always, i did do it, hence the 'edit' you see minutes before the post, however my photoshop training is just one 30 minute session for a general computer course at tafe. SO - being able to edit stuff to the point that it looks 100% real, sorry, but id be the first to admit that im not actually good at it and have no idea how suprasearchin would have even made that image displayed above.

post-54322-1262316761_thumb.jpg post-54322-1262316864_thumb.jpg

Also, im sure if you were starting to fear for your safety (especially in a city you've never been before) and your phone had the functionality, you'd press record too.

So if you want to keep trying to make me look stupid in here - feel free, you're actually doing a pretty good job and i hope it makes you feel better about yourself. Keep on truckin you little keyboard warrior! :P I really dont care if you continue - but you've just made me waste another 10 minutes of my day typing all of this up and im seriously not going to waste anymore.

Either way your not going to get the reaction you desire from me, so sorry in advance to disappoint you. A few days time I wont even remember your name, so dont bother apologising to me, but everyone else will still have to read through your rubbish until its cleaned up, so go and apologise to all the other nice people in here that youve destroyed the thread and experience for.

Edited by KR4-GTR

This lie is easily covered: That photo you posted was edited minutes before you posted it using photoshop. It's blatantly obvious.

For someone who previously said they don't use photoshop, you now admit you do and have done a Tafe course? It matters not what you did to the pic, but that you are more then capable of doing it:

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Wo...et-t273696.html

I give no shit about you not buying my car (LOL, how many other people also didn't buy it?). I gave a shit about you abusing me afterwards - and publically - and I give a shit about you doing the same to someone else. You sent me an abusive and personal message, after writing rubbish about me on the forum. Or was that one of your mates who shared the account?

You know exactly why you were banned on the other account, lying about sharing it (after previously lying about it being you) is actually pretty sad:

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ge...an-t273989.html

I wanted to move on. Which was why I sent the message. I had hoped you had matured a little is all. Everyone deserves another chance. It appears it was a little too much to ask.

You constantly lie and change your story, you abuse and insult people, you record phone calls illegally and you photoshop photos to support your negative story about someone on the internet. And you try to discredit me? Get your hand off it.

    • The other problem was one of those "oh shit we are going to die moments". Basically the high spec Q50s have a full electric steering rack, and the povo ones had a regular hydraulic rack with an electric pump.  So couple of laps into session 5 as I came into turn 2 (big run off now, happily), the dash turned into a christmas tree and the steering became super heavy and I went well off. I assumed it was a tyre failure so limped to the pits, but everything was OK. But....the master warning light was still on so I checked the DTCs and saw – C13E6 “Heat Protection”. Yes, that bloody steering rack computer sitting where the oil cooler should be has its own sensors and error logic, and decided I was using the steering wheel too much. I really appreciated the helpful information in the manual (my bold) POSSIBLE CAUSE • Continuing the overloading steering (Sports driving in the circuit etc,) “DATA MONITOR” >> “C/M TEMPERATURE”. The rise of steering force motor internal temperature caused the protection function to operate. This is not a system malfunction. INSPECTION END So, basically the electric motor in the steering rack got to 150c, and it decided to shut down without warning for my safety. Didn't feel safe. Short term I'll see if I can duct some air to that motor (the engine bay is sealed pretty tight). Long term, depending on how often this happens, I'll look into swapping the povo spec electric/hydraulic rack in. While the rack should be fine the power supply to the pump will be a pain and might be best to deal with it when I add a PDM.
    • And finally, 2 problems I really need to sort.  Firstly as Matt said the auto trans is not happy as it gets hot - I couldn't log the temps but the gauge showed 90o. On the first day I took it out back in Feb, because the coolant was getting hot I never got to any auto trans issues; but on this day by late session 3 and then really clearly in 4 and 5 as it got hotter it just would not shift up. You can hear the issue really clearly at 12:55 and 16:20 on the vid. So the good news is, literally this week Ecutek finally released tuning for the jatco 7 speed. I'll have a chat to Racebox and see what they can do electrically to keep it cooler and to get the gears, if anything. That will likely take some R&D and can only really happen on track as it never gets even warm with road use. I've also picked up some eye wateringly expensive Redline D6 ATF to try, it had the highest viscosity I could find at 100o so we will see if that helps (just waiting for some oil pan gaskets so I can change it properly). If neither of those work I need to remove the coolant/trans interwarmer and the radiator cooler and go to an external cooler....somewhere.....(goodbye washer reservoir?), and if that fails give up on this mad idea and wait for Nissan to release the manual 400R
    • So, what else.... Power. I don't know what it is making because I haven't done a post tune dyno run yet; I will when I get a chance. It was 240rwkw dead stock. Conclusion from the day....it does not need a single kw more until I sort some other stuff. It comes on so hard that I could hear the twin N1 turbos on the R32 crying, and I just can't use what it has around a tight track with the current setup. Brakes. They are perfect. Hit them hard all day and they never felt like having an issue; you can see in the video we were making ground on much lighter cars on better tyres under brakes. They are standard (red sport) calipers, standard size discs in DBA5000 2 piece, Winmax pads and Motul RBF600 fluid, all from Matty at Racebrakes Sydney. Keeping in mind the car is more powerful than my R32 and weighs 1680, he clearly knows his shit. Suspension. This is one of the first areas I need to change. It has electronically controlled dampers from factory, but everything is just way too soft for track work even on the hardest setting (it is nice when hustling on country roads though). In particular it rolls into oversteer mid corner and pitches too much under hard braking so it becomes unstable eg in the turn 1 kink I need to brake early, turn through the kink then brake again so I don't pirouette like an AE86. I need to get some decent shocks with matched springs and sway bars ASAP, even if it is just a v1 setup until I work out a proper race/rally setup later. Tyres. I am running Yoko A052 in 235/45/18 all round, because that was what I could get in approximately the right height on wheels I had in the shed (Rays/Nismo 18x8 off the old Leaf actually!). As track tyres they are pretty poor; I note GTSBoy recently posted a porker comparo video including them where they were about the same as AD09.....that is nothing like a top line track tyre. I'll start getting that sorted but realistically I should get proper sized wheels first (likely 9.5 +38 front and 11 +55 at the rear, so a custom order, and I can't rotate them like the R32), then work out what the best tyre option is. BTW on that, Targa Tas had gone to road tyres instead of semi slicks now so that is a whole other world of choices to sort. Diff. This is the other thing that urgently needs to be addressed. It left massive 1s out of the fish hook all day, even when I was trying not too (you can also hear it reving on the video, and see the RPM rising too fast compared to speed in the data). It has an open diff that Infiniti optimistically called a B-LSD for "Brake Limited Slip Diff". It does good straight line standing start 11s but it is woeful on the track. Nismo seem to make a 2 way for it.
    • Also, I logged some data from the ECU for each session (mostly oil pressures and various temps, but also speed, revs etc, can't believe I forgot accelerator position). The Ecutek data loads nicely to datazap, I got good data from sessions 2, 3 and 4: https://datazap.me/u/duncanhandleyhgeconsultingcomau/250813-wakefield-session-2?log=0&data=7 https://datazap.me/u/duncanhandleyhgeconsultingcomau/250813-wakefield-session-3?log=0&data=6 https://datazap.me/u/duncanhandleyhgeconsultingcomau/250813-wakefield-session-4?log=0&data=6 Each session is cut into 3 files but loaded together, you can change between them in the top left. As the test sessions are mostly about the car, not me, I basically start by checking the oil pressure (good, or at least consistent all day). These have an electrically controlled oil pump which targets 25psi(!) at low load and 50 at high. I'm running a much thicker oil than recommended by nissan (they said 0w20, I'm running 10w40) so its a little higher. The main thing is that it doesn't drop too far, eg in the long left hand fish hook, or under brakes so I know I'm not getting oil surge. Good start. Then Oil and Coolant temp, plus intercooler and intake temps, like this: Keeping in mind ambient was about 5o at session 2, I'd say the oil temp is good. The coolant temp as OK but a big worry for hot days (it was getting to 110 back in Feb when it was 35o) so I need to keep addressing that. The water to air intercooler is working totally backwards where we get 5o air in the intake, squish/warm it in the turbos (unknown temp) then run it through the intercoolers which are say 65o max in this case, then the result is 20o air into the engine......the day was too atypical to draw a conclusion on that I think, in the united states of freedom they do a lot of upsizing the intercooler and heat exchanger cores to get those temps down but they were OK this time. The other interesting (but not concerning) part for me was the turbo speed vs boost graph: I circled an example from the main straight. With the tune boost peaks at around 18psi but it deliberately drops to about 14psi at redline because the turbos are tiny - they choke at high revs and just create more heat than power if you run them hard all the way. But you can also see the turbo speed at the same time; it raises from about 180,000rpm to 210,000rpm which the boost falls....imagine the turbine speed if they held 18psi to redline. The wastegates are electrically controlled so there is a heap of logic about boost target, actual boost, delta etc etc but it all seems to work well
    • hahah when youtube subscribers are faster than my updates here. Yes some vid from the day is up, here:  Note that as with all track day videos it is boring watching after the bloopers at the start.  The off was a genuine surprise to me, I've literally done a thousand laps around the place and I've never had instability there; basically it rolled into oversteer, slipped, gripped and spat me out. On the way off I mowed down one of the instructor's cones and it sat there all day looking at me with accusing cone eyes as I drove past. 1:13:20 was my fastest lap, and it was in the second session, 3rd lap.  It (or me!) got slower throughout the day as it got hotter.
