Brighty...Hope your not worried :)

Will definately be a contender with the time you put down last week! :O

Your car is a weapon! plus "Bozlap" isnt at his hometown this time (Oran Park)................. :(

LMAO Love ya Jess

I have not been driving at Eastern Creek for very long at all. I remember winning some IPRA National title in.....um....1994 haha

Oh John, you poor guy in your underpowered GTR haha at least you have AWD. Sounds like you best read the rules hahaha

You crack me up Benny. Would be fun though :D

All good publicity for the S2000 :O

I know bugger all about the rules but i am thinking the same as you.

Is this John Bostons car or is he a hired gun. 550rw hp in something that light spells too chicken shit to go and mix it where the car really belongs belongs to me.

HAHAHAHA what a crack up!!! 1300kgs light? I know of some GTR's that are lighter.

So you will obviously be out at Superlap wearing your Honda shirt then :(

UHHMM, No, Why would you assume something as ridiculous as that. (Add dancing mango emoticon as the banana was taken)

Sorry, I obviously misinterpreted what you were trying to say. From your lovely literature to your knowledge on the rules, it sounded as though you were a massive Honda fan Noel :P

s'all good Boz, Yes i will be at superlap cheerin all the sau crowd on.

I was hoping to run my gtst but time and circumstance conspired against me as usual.

Might wear a honda shirt just to spite you now. :P

Hi All,

I am running my 32 gtr in club sprint I was gutted last night to find out I can't run toyo 888s, so now I need a different tyre that meets the "street spec" rating ie rating over 100 any ideas?

I've used the federal 595 rs to run sub 60 seconds on the qr sprint track mate. good durable tyre too.

A couple of friends are using the khumo ku36 and it too seems like a good grippy tyre, They get no where near the mileage that i get from the feddy's but they are a fair bit cheaper to buy so i guess it all evens out in the end.

I'm staying away from the Rsr given I recently had an issue with them

im running Ku36's in clubsprint....what problems you have with the RSR's

Hey someone has to do it...so hats off to the guy building a car to best expolit the rules!! Sux to be Russ in a GTSt, but with RB20 goodness behind him he is still a winner...until he chucks an RB25 in it then he is just anothe kiddy fiddler! :P

Just saw this. Don't worry Bris. Power upgrades won't be for a while yet haha.

Yes I will be slaughtered down the straights but I'll just try and piss em all off in the corners...

Best thing about the 180km/h speed limiter my car had everytime i was at EC is that i could look people in the eye and say i didnt brake for turn 1 and was flat through turn 1 :) It was good as i never had to worry about braking etc, i could just concentrate on the right line and means i was usually pretty quick through there....lol but slow down the straight :D

If you can man up through turn 1 you will round up most of the softies who drove away from you on the straight by turn 2. You'll have them at turn 2 if you can do some really late braking

Keep the advise coming... :P

Thats all i've got. It was the 1 place i could catch and pass people when i was there last in my NA s13. I spent the rest of my 1:54.5 thinking how i could use some more power as i'd gain on people due to higher corner speed and at the first small straight they'd get it back.

    • The title should have posted "EFR7670 exhaust housing selection RB26" I can seem to edit thr title on my Android.
    • I'm looking for some real world experiences/feed back from anyone who has personally ran a EFR7670 with a 1.05 exhaust housing or a .83 I'm leaning towards the .83 because its a street car used mostly for spirited driving in the canyons roads. I"m not looking for big numbers on paper. I want a responsive powerband that will be very linear to 8000 rpm. I dont mind if power remains somewhat flat but dont want power to drop off on top. The turbo I've purchased is a 1.05, although the mounting flange T3 vs T4 and internal vs external waste gates are different on both housings, I not concern about swapping parts or making fabrication mods to get what I want. Based on some of the research I've done with chat gpt, the 1.05 housing seems to be the way to go with slightly more lag and future proofing for more mods but recommends .83 for best response/street car setup. AI doesn't have the same emotions as real people driving a GTR so I think you guys will be able to give me better feed back 😀
    • Surely somebody has one in VIC. Have you asked at any shops?  Is this the yearly inspection or did you get a canary?
    • This is where I share pain with you, @Duncan. The move to change so many cooling system pieces to plastic is a killer! Plastic end tanks and a few plastic hose flanges on my car's fail after so little time.  Curious about the need for a bigger rad, is that just for long sessions in the summer or because the car generally needs more cooling?
    • So, that is it! It is a pretty expensive process with the ATF costing 50-100 per 5 litres, and a mechanic will probably charge plenty because they don't want to do it. Still, considering how dirty my fluid was at 120,000klm I think it would be worth doing more like every 80,000 to keep the trans happy, they are very expensive to replace. The job is not that hard if you have the specialist tools so you can save a bit of money and do it yourself!
