1. yes, if not then just respray ;)

2. probably, if not then just change it with equivalent skyline gearbox :)

3. no idea. :D these cars are still consider rare in australia so price would be on the high scale.

the first pic is an actual facelift done by a garage in japan, it costs about as much as the car itself. The actual Autech 260RS is about as expesive as a VSpec2 r34 GTR and looks the same as a normal stagea... then again 4.5" exhaust or sumfin on an RB26DETT all the way you can't complain

  • 2 weeks later...

I have just ordered myself a '99 model 260RS stagea from a mate who has a mate with plates. I should have it by the end of Feb 04 at will be around $50k onroad. It will be fun having the fastest production wagon in Oz :-)

I spoke to the dealer selling that car. They have 4 on there way. The car is on the gold coast being complied. There is another Dealer in Qld that has a real 260RS white '99 with 38k on the clock. It will be $50-55k onroad.

Mal

The R33 GTS-T equivalent ones were selling from mid to high teens from a few on Geoff's list. like $18K i think.

-4DoorGTR: Verrrrrryyy nice choice there mate. Considering for $50K, 99 car, fastest wagon, it is a bit of a bargain. I wonder how much the RS4 (or is that RS6 ??) wagons are going for, i would think a HELLUVA lot more.

Pls post some pics when u've got it. I would imagine you would be only one of a select few Australia wide to have one. Congrats on the purchase.

cheers.

this is the first stagea ive ever seen for sale in Australia

Stagea

Do u need to have anymore evidence at just how dodgy Import car yards can be? They want $32K!!!! and look how much it would have cost if u bought it urself? http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/au/st...sp?StockID=1108 - $19.8K plus ORC's!!!!!

That carpoint one is a f*cking rip off!! And whoever is selling it are absolute con artists!! I thought i recognised the pic of it. Some poor sucker will go, be interested, they'll say... "special for u, $30K, 2 grand off!" - that sort of thing makes me sick.

:blast: :bs!:

EDIT: Ad says 1997, and 1998 cars. I remember there were 2 Stagea's up for sale, i think a silver one at the same time as this red one. This place has prob bought both. :)

firstly.. RSFOUR is obviously 4wheel drive yes?

for anyone that owns an r33.. how weird is it seeing the fuel gauge the other way around and the battery in the engine bay!

I think these wagons rock

Eventually nissan will have the dominant car in every class :) hehe

cant wait to see SS's etc pull up next to one of these with a wife driving.. car full of kids.. and some mild work done to it.. and get chopped :O

kodak moment and a half

go nissan

    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
    • Yeah, I would have said the same. It makes me suggest that there are other things wrong, such that the ECU is totally unhappy with the broken sensor. The only other thought here is that maybe it is shorted, which might cause a different issue to the typical "disconnected" sensor.
