Oil & Oil Filter For R33

Is it ok to run on Castrol Magnetec 10/40W & Ryco filters on R33 GTST?

Never seen a track or drag strip.. only used for normal daily drive.

How often do I drop the oil & change filter?

Can someone please advice.. thanks

Yes it is ok. Change any Semi-Synthetic oil at 5000km intervals

I only hear of horror stories of magnatec in dailys, and pictures I google show visible sludging up through the oil filler cap.

Mate the more you change your oil the better.

Higher quality oil allows you to go harder for longer.

You will notice the differenence with higher quality oil, the only question what do you want to do with the car.

I personally use Motul 10w40 like 95% of this forum i think and change it when it starts to get black usually after 3000k's.

No it isnt really.

But getting to the root of the problem is better than a temporary fix dont you think?
