I was driving the 32 you shot there. That was so close to a big spin but it recovered okay. Didnt realise the angle was that huge though!

Was a very well run day. We had issues the night before in true GTR fasion. Spat a front CV boot, had a speed cut on the factory ECU to get rid of and oil cooler lines etc to be made.

Between two drivers the pretty much stock GTR managed 80 something laps with no issues at all so was a sucessfull day.

That was me... He he he... Been chasing that problem now for 2 track days... Just trying to get some driving in as well...

In the afternoon I'd pulled the waste gate springs out, and as long as I kept the foot off it down the straight and didn't chuck it back into 3rd too early, she was all sweet and didn't smoke... unfort there was a few times I knocked it back to 3rd at like 140 pulling up for turn 2...

And that's why motors are built cheap in my car... You don't wanna hear about the first session and how "dodgy" that was... ROFL

Was a great day! Track was dry (at least for the time I was there) and cooler temps made for induction friendly boosting. I didn't have my shit together to get some track time, but did come along as a spectator. Will be sad to see Oran Park close up for good.

Here are a few pix I took. PM me if you want full size copies or perhaps a pic of your car from the day.

Hi Crew

What a massive day it was. Thanks so much for the support you all showed to come out to this day. To have Instuctors like Glenney, Bargwanna, Dyk and Seiders on hand made it so much easier for me to make sure everything was running smoothly. I was able to do a few laps in the afternoon which was great. I tried to tick every box that you would like at a track day....sorry there were no dancing girls though.

To have mechanical track support on hand if people needed it, which they did was fantastic....thanks Lofty and Scruff

From Matt Mead Photography (legend), the coffee guy, to medical staff, tilt trays, lunches, timing it was all pretty much there.

There will be plenty more of these days run in the future, obviously just not at Oran Park.

See all the pic's from the day here

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
