Hey guys, well, I pick her up tomorrow night

Just a few things I'd like to know:

I've driven a few R33 GTST's before, and love the suction sound of the turbo, on the GTR, I can't hear this, is this because it has a stock CAI or the fact it doesn't have external BoV's?

In regards to BoV's, what should I look for? BoV's are sex.

Exhaust-wise, what size should I aim for? And I do have a thing for the Dual Exhaust look.

Many thanks

Karl

Get apexi twin pods and a full stainless exhaust. The spool on my old car was quite noticible like that.

Don't get bovs... Leave the stock ones.

HKS Hi Power Silent exhaust = teh sex.

Quick clip of my old car:

Take out your stock airbox and replace the intake with pod filters. That will give you the induction noise your after. As far as BOV's go, it's all about personal preference. Wouldnt bother getting one until you boost your car though otherwise you'll be dumping too much air and your car will run rich.

/facepalm

BOV's are gayer than Freddie Mercury gargling cum.

Stock BOV's work perfectly at 600+hp at the treads.

Karl.

Looks like what you want is something that says 'look at me' or 'pull my car over officer'.

Dog sneezing and squeaker toy noises that aftermarket BOV's make are some of the most obnoxious noises made by anything man made. There are no aftermarket BOV's that are upgrades of the factory GTR ones.

Be thankful that a factory jap performance car can be ultra fast without them.

+1

Factory GTR bov's are the coolest sounding ones anyway!

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
