G'day there boys, just hoping for a bit of local knowlage concerning getting a car trailor (pre-made/built). As handy as google is id rather hear from the guys who live there and might know of some good builders, or know of any good trailors sitting around that could find its way into my ownership.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as it would save me a drive from kathy to look over shops/trailors with half a chance of success.

P.s as soon as i get this trailor its game on for my skyline to start seeing the track, mainly lap sprint but am leaning hard towards some drifting for a laugh.

Haha, well i will try but that doesn't mean that i will be very impressive, however aslong as i get a good laugh out of it and have fun then i'll be on a winner.

That said there is plenty of room to run of the track if i happen to ass it up (more then likely), and since the car doesn't have a fancy bodykit i really am not too concerned about ruffing her up a little.

G'day mate, nothing posted up on either NAMSC or TEDA as far as dates go for next year. My best guess is that the track will open up some time in Feb but i can't say for sure.

As far as your dyno question sadly i have no idea but i'm sure one of the other boys will have a know, or you could read a couple of the threads here and maybe a few names might pop up.

Best of luck.

Are you in Darwin Scotty?

According to the Dyno Dynamics website, there's a few options listed for NT.

Can't say whether they're any good or not though (I'm in Alice Springs), or how up to date the contact info is...

How is fuel quality compared to the East Coast (Brisbane/Gold Coast). I am getting my car tuned before it comes up, should I get him to do it based on 95 fuel?

Got the same as the rest of the country as far as BP,Shell, Caltex go. 98 is everywhere =)

although it is more expensive.

Reviving an old thread,,,, :woot:

So hello, new to Skyines not so much the import or car scene. Have a gunmetal R32 bit of a side hobby I guess... Thought I'd join up to get some info and checkout everyones build.

Is there much of import/ Skyline/ Nissan cruise scene these days in Darwin with hoon laws and what not?

:action-smiley-069:

I'm interested in some track days at hidden valley, many people on here go down for them?

I went to the last Street Meet Drag racing, I haven't made a track day yet but I'm keen to make one before the year is out. Any details on the next one?

    • Impossible to remove the housing while turbo is installed on the manifold on the engine. So I have to do it anyways. I plugged it so there will not be any debris in there. Will vacuum aswell
    • would a r34 gtr hood line up with gt/gtt stock fenders? after latch, front bumper and hinges are swapped for gtr ones? or would the fenders be too low or high in relation to the hood surface? ( I believe seeing somewhere that gtr front fenders use some type of riser for the sides, but do not know how that relates to stock gt/gtt fenders.)
    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
