Last time I went on a sunny Saturday, there were people towing boats/horse floats up Mac Pass (I went up and down the pass three times, never got a clean run for more than 2 minutes). It's usually worse on Sunday. So expect lots of traffic.

Last pie run we (r31sc) had I used Mt. Keira as a warm up but there were people on bicycles on the road <_<, so if anyone wants to head down that way then let me know (live just before Campbelltown). If I'm alone I might as well tag along from CrossRoads. I was gonna go last weekend but had to get new tyres for rego =\ Can't wait to open it up, it's been a while (two months lol).

hey man i think ive seen you driving around anyways i know mitch "figjam" top bloke anyways do you guys wanna meet up at say woodbine maccas and cruise togethor up to the meeting place, i would feel a lot more comftable meeting a person or 2 before hand so i dont feel like a total young stranger when im trying to get to know my fellow nsw club members

Hi all!

Jut to let you know my r33 will be there, I will bring photos of my r32 though i need to show Gemma! Unless you want to visit first?

havent seen anyone in a while will be good. Ta

Yeah boy!

Anyone heading in from the hills area?

Wow didn't realise there were a few from Campbelltown.

Umm if you guys wanna have a meet up then that's fine with me, else I'll just head over to crossroads. Wait the plan is to cruise down M5 then turn off at Picton Rd>Mt Keira Rd right? Last time I went down Appin Rd, then continued on Wilton Rd, across the Cataract river then Picton Rd. Traffic is usually low this way but the roads are ordinary. Does take longer though.

Haha I'll just find a bunch of Skylines and follow them, less thinking :)

    • They are under bucket shims. Tomei provides a test shim kit and then any measurement of shim required.
    • I always wondered how you were supposed to buy a set of 24 buckets and somehow magically have every single one of them yield exactly the desired clearance. I would have thought you'd need to assemble a cam with either 12 "sample" or "example" buckets of known top thickness (or a single such sample/example 12 times over!!) measure clearances at every valve, and then do the usual math to work out what the actual "shimness" of each bucket needed to be, before buying the required buckets to make up he thicknesses that you didn't have on hand.
    • I now seem to be limited in power due to my rev limit/hydraulic lifters in my built RB25. I'm looking into converting over to Tomei solid lifters. Question for anyone that has done the conversion. I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  I don't know where I got this idea, as so far I see no mention of this in any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must be missing something?
