Hey was just wondering what people think of this package?

http://www.tweakit.net/shop/product_info.p...roducts_id=5090

I'll be running about 280rwkw on my rb25det

I broke my fpr when i was getting my half cut :D

So yeah decided to just grab an aftermarket one and this one popped up, any opinions?

Just buy Nismo 555cc injectors, use the stock FPR.

1. Factory rail, fine

2. Factory fuel reg, fine

You only need injectors, which are around $750 delivered.

There is no need to go aftermarket anything other than the injectors, so leave it that way and buy a replacement OEM FPR.

Trade Nissan should be about the same, if not cheaper.

If i can get an entire RB26 loom for under $700, there is no way a FPR is going to cost anymore than $100-$150.

You'd be up for around $100 to get a Nismo item here so i don't see a difference enough to get excited about

cant remember exactly but nissan wanted well over 200 for a reg. it was cheaper to get a tomei with the rail adaptop and hoses etc. only reason i wanted a new one is because i busted 3 2nd hand ones in less than 5000km's, each time i didnt know they were broken until it was under full load and leaning out to around 15:1. so i got sick of 15yo shit

I agree changing stuff that doesnt need to be changed is a waste of time, effort and money. I say also stick with stock rail and a stock reg. but I'd go the 740's. HEAPS of head room for basically the same money.

just my 2c!

cheers

+1 for nismo 740s, i have heard from a reliable source they are better to tune than most.

also +1 for stock rail and stock FPR, get trade from nissan it shouldnt be too much. buying an aftermarket has zero advantage other than more useless bling bits you need to worry about at this level.

if your going to run twin external pumps or some BS then by all means go for gold on an aftermarket

If you don't need bigger - don't get them.

Only get 740's if you plan for over ~330rwkw later on.

Otherwise the 555's will do the job just as good.

you can never have enough headroom, that is until they become harder to tune.. then its useless.

in this case i have heard that the red nismo 740s are better to tune than the 555s. that being the SR RB specific red nismo items, not 740s in general.

yet yes, 555s will be enough ;) but for the same price i know i wouldnt think twice.

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
