Hey Everyone,

I cannot believe GTCC turns 10 years old in March. Anyway we have always had an annual cruise so here it is again.

Please check this link for any changes prior to leaving for meet point.

Said this time and time again, no reckless driving will be tolerated and please make sure your car is roadworthy.

Thanks

Brandon

Cannot remember if I posted up the Dyno Pics from last year

Most likely means something that is not a death trap.

The GTCC are much like SAU-Vic - respectable people, that behave and put safety first, ie not bringing a car that is dangerous to all round (poor tyres, brakes, loose body kit/parts etc).

I don't see a boost controller being a problem

Feel free to correct me should i be wrong Brandon :P

Good to see GTCC is 10yrs, i didn't even realise! I would have said about 7-8yrs hehe.

Yah you said it Ash, I can't believe 10 years already either, the first year it was mainly only friends only but we still did the Annual Cruise :P

By roadworthy vehicle I agree No Death Traps but also keep in mind that at any time police may check your vehicle. But in the 9 years, from memory we have only been checked once which was in Apollo Bay. The rest of the time the police stop to say hi and admire the cars and take some snaps with us.

Sam wrote a guide to Cruise Etiquette which is pretty good for anyone interested.

theres an SAUvic cruise on the same day i believe (it in our calendar) dunno which one to go to

I didnt know that. You have to support your club so you should go to SAUVic's cruise.

Are they going to GOR too?

Hey Brandon, good to see GTCC is still around  Sounds like a great cruise.

Yes mate still around but we have been pretty quiet as of late. I honestly haven't had the time to organise anything.

Hey beefy I'm sure your off the evo oz forums seeing as the guys there go every year too. Was always meant to go down with my evo 7 but never had the chance to.

Yes I do particpate on Evo Oz Forums when time permits as they are a great bunch too. So you have a VSpec NUR now ? .. very nice. If you are free come for a drive.

yeah nah, lazy buggers haven't decided/released details yet, plus have a dyno day on the sat. our GOR is in april. Therefore i might rock up to your cruise

Yea i figured it was you from there. The GTR is on a whole new level compared to my evo but still drive it as more of my daily. Im pretty sure i will come to this!

Nathan: You know I am looking at returning back to a GT-R myself. Love the Evo but whenever I see a GT-R, I wish I was driving mine again. Have you seen Matt Tangs NUR aka TangoMatt, that car is awesome.

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
