Look - you know more about the situation, and with every post a bit more info comes out.

How is anyone going to give solid advice if it's taken nearly 2 pages to get the facts?

Kris knows only as much as the rest of you :P

Will keep it short as on iPhone nismoid correct unless police actually saw you drive then no offence can be prooved, I doubt fine will be issued unless more to this. Also full lic can drive manual even if only had auto to start with. As to drink driving need more than keys in ignition to proove, I had one recently that was blind drunk passed out at wheel at intersection car running in turning lane with car in gear and indicator on and he got off. Sums up the stupid court system and why crime on the rise

Look mate- Who issued the fine??? Name?

Secondly becareful because the officer can say he saw you drive into the parking, and if he visits here then we will do that lol

I was not issued with an on-the-spot fine. I was told something was going to be mailed out.

Didn't catch the name of either of the officers.

So no underage females involved as the only people?

Irrelevant. I have no comment on the age of my girlfriend other than the fact she is legal :)

I will hold back on a personal comeback I could have used :P

Taken directly from Vicroads:

An automatic transmission restriction will apply if you pass your probationary test in an automatic vehicle. You will be restricted to driving a vehicle with automatic transmission for the duration of your probationary period.

At the end of the probationary period, the A condition will be removed.

The probationary automatic condition may be removed at anytime during the probationary period by passing a driving test in a vehicle with manual transmission.

Permanent A conditions may apply as a requirement due to specific medical reasons.

A breath of fresh air to people who passed their p test in an auto

So what you worried about?

Wasn't the car turbo? why not just get you for that or defect it they always find something

Nah, I had my non-turbo Supra out that night. They didn't even check to see if it was turbo.

Well my Mum just called me (I'm at work) and told me that something has come in the mail from the Knox Police :P

I told her not to open it (because she'll freak) so I'll have to wait til I get home tonight to see what it says.

I hate that sinking feeling... Ugh...

On sub-topic I'd like to point out that 16 and over is quite legal unless you are a guardian, teacher, sports-coach or other formal authority figure in relation to the girl.

Bad luck on the letter...that's a fine :P

I don't know but I feel it my obligation to inform people of the real legal age in Victoria ever since winning a bet with my friends. As I said, sub-topic :P

Won't rule out the warning, but if they can be bothered writing a letter/warning they can be bothered sending you a fine lol. When I got my fine mailed out to me it came straight from the Warnambool police station rather than civic compliance.

huh?

Anyway. I couldn't care less. However how can you expect anyone to give you an answer if 2 pages, details still come out?

If the person is 18 and has a manual license, key info.

If that same person does not have a license, again key info.

    • I was 99% sure the standard one is long enough to get there, you might just have to change the throttle orientation. If not, I remember someone having used an r31 cable instead, but that is probably harder to find than r33 by now...
    • HELP   Hey all, Is there an accelerator cable from another Nissan that can be used on the R33 GTST RB25DET with a Greddy forward facing plenum?  Thanks in advance  Rob
    • Or do we think it was installed to give 1 bar of boost max, all day, everyday?
    • So could it be assumed it has been installed intentionally with potentially a power FC boost controller kit?
    • Had my rig on Matt's dyno at PITS the other day. After a few years between tunes I added a few sensors and swapped intercoolers. Result. 553hp at 26psi. Not bad for an FJ20 that was built in 2007. The problem.. It filled the overflow bottle on hard runs which leads me to believe the head gasket isn't sealing. I have a coolant pressure sensor which was reading cap pressure at 22psi and occasionally overrunning to 23/24 psi on deceleration after a pull. It was not spiking. It has arp2000 head studs and a cometic gasket. As its been 18 years in service, I pulled the engine out and head off. Everything looks good but we obviously have an issue. Where I'm at.. Years ago I had the same issue, I checked the stud tension and they were all over the place. Some at 60 to 70 and some up near 90. I nipped them all to 100ft lbs and this stopped the water push until now. I believe this compromised the gasket back then. What do I do? 2 options are..  1) I bought arp 625+s, which I could put in with a new gasket. Thinking Kameari this time, reassemble and try again. 2) strip the block, get fire rings machined in with copper gasket and try that. I do not want to push it more than 28 to 30psi. I think the turbo will be out by then anyway. (G30-770). My other concern is the long term ability of a copper head gasket. Are they streetable for years? I feel like a new gasket with the new studs will probably suffice, but I don't know. Any thoughts welcome and advice on copper gaskets and fire rings. Thanks!
