I hate seeing that sort of thing - what the hell was herridge doing? yellow flags everywhere and he still drives into the rear of a stranded car at full pace.

people have to take yellow flags seriously, they are not a chance to catch up they are a safety warning

yes....but only because officals don't enforce the rules and because drivers and teams choose to ignore safety.

they are spot on about bringing back double waved (saying where the major incident is) but that doesn't take away the driver's ultimate responsibility for safety.

lol too slow duncan...they've been leading all day but got taken just before the yellow flags apparently :)

too true. how interesting is this though. as usual the mountain throws up all sorts of shenanigans.

It was a massive weekend I can tell you!! Was up there helping improved production category and car 24 walden motorsports..we unfortunately didnt finish due to mechanical issues  so upsetting as we were doing so well up to lap 68!!!

Its a fantastic event and well worth coming up for a looksee.

Well done to all that competed the conditions were incrediable :) it all happens at bathurst

well what a day!! 1 out of 2 of our utes finnished.

the ve holden ute got 7 hours in and broke a timing chain again!! this time a double row rollmaster!!

the falcon (grove) went thru for a finnish and class win. class g, crossed the line with one tyre blown out and running on the rim lol.

got held in scrutineering till 10pm. lots of cars got busted.

namly the easts evo. was caught with differant compound front and rear tyres. woops!

also im pretty sure the walden ve got pinned for the same thing after qualifing..

so pro-duct will finnish second now! holt bmw got held in scrutineering for a while too. not sure if anything was detected.

used only half of the brake pads. and finnished on the tyres we stated. still with 3mm left on them. apart fron two puntures on thre front right..

    • Am I correct in assuming that the R35's are getting the classic skyline haircut off the odometer?  Quick search on carsales, there are 33 08 and 09 GTR's for sale, only 2 of them have more then 100,000km's on them (116,075 and 110,000 respectively).  And somehow there are about 25 for sale with around 60,000kms? Looks like the classic skyline haircut to me =/
    • @Stringycheese  Have you only gone to the one blue slip workshop?  There will be a heap of them where ever you live, good odds that the next place you go to will pass the car.  Unfortunately (or fortunately?) every blue slip / engineering workshop will be different and will be happy passing or failing different things - despite working from the same set of rules. It's kinda like 2 lawyers arguing over a piece of legislation, each saying their interpretation is correct. Might seem strange that this happens when it comes to getting a modified car passed, but this is very much a thing. A big part of the game is finding an engineer / workshop that is on the same page as you.
    • Bah. I daily mine. ~60km per work day, 10-12 thousand km per year. What's the point of having a dirty old Datto and leaving it in the shed. It needs to be driven and enjoyed while the govco allows us to do so. It will only be a few years before we're forbidden to even start up internal combustion engines.
    • Judging by that spring perch and the normal looking spring on it - not a coilover. Well.... it is a coilover, just a stock format coilover, rather than what everyone calls a coilover.
    • Yes it is. We get stock from Nismo directly. I'm happy to take photos/video of it as proof before I ship it with timestamps or whathaveyou.
