The paint in my engine bay is comming off and i wanted to respray it. That is the rocker covers, cam belt cover, as well as the plenum.

I wanted to know whether I need to take the stuff off or whether I could spray it on the car?

I know the plenum is really hard to remove and I dont know if i need new gaskets on any of the other stuff?

Im also interested in doing this too

Im pretty sure the parts would need to be removed so they can be sanded and sprayed properly as it would look like a half a*sed job to do it with the parts in there.

pulling them off is going to give the best result as you can properly clean them as well as give them a good paint coverage so you aren't simply painting the top half and possibly having hard to get to, yet visible areas that aren't painted. also it will avoid any overspray making the engine bay look crappy
