Terribly sorry to hear mate. Glad you are OK which is the main thing. Sounds like you have your head screwed on correctly which is probably the reason why everyone is so keen to help you...

In relation to the accident I know exactly what that looks like. I saw a friend do exactly just that whilst I was in the car behind following. Put two wheels on the grass, tried to get back onto the track and then lost it across the track, into the wall and wrote his car off. I had to get him out of the car, luckily he was OK as well.

Point is your not the first person to make an error and you wont be the last. What is done is done, try and do whatever you can to get back out there and don't look back for too long. Easier said than done I appreciate, but you'll manage.

Good luck.

    • That's one of the reasons I got that breed, they look weird, the other reasons are they small, they are very vocal, and run around like they are on crack, I didn't want a breed that just sits around, these two are like kids on red cordial  My daughter has one, and it's a laugh riot, constantly doing Parkour around the house, sits on her shoulder, plays catch, and constantly runs around the house taking turns chasing the dog around, her Bermese though, just lays around with constant bitch face, and just looks on in utter disgust at the cat and dog playing together

    • It's all about the socialisation of the dogs. In that first 8 to 16 weeks of age they need to be taught to be nice and friendly with everything. That way they generalise it to everything. That said, some days you'll just never beat genetics, but 99% of the time dogs chasing cats is purely lack of socialisation, and then the chasing part can turn into prey drive.
